This Day and Age....

I have a lot to cover today and not a lot of time to do it. First off, New Zealand just passed the bill for Gay Marriage which is Amazing!!! That's also adding France to the list too...so come on United States, what the hell?!
Also in the news, there was this horrible bombing at the Boston Marathon within the USA...it killed 3 people and injured over 80. They just now brought someone into custody over the incident and there have been no details really on who it is or if they even have the right person. Even still...Facebook and the Media has been flooding over the news of this new bombing, and people are screaming that it is the work of terrorists. Now, whether this true or not, I have a friend on Facebook (Rob Woodard...fellow Shadow Jedi and Empath) who made a really interesting point. He basically said what has been on my mind for some time, and that is that America and the United kingdom make themselves a target for these attacks because we are always butting in on other people's customs, traditions, laws, and lifestyles. We are sticking our nose where it does not belong, and because of that, worldwide, we are something of a Dictator and a target for rebellion.
Anyways...I won't really state my full opinion because this is just my opinion. But here is what my friend said in his Facebook blog about the recent events:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow its been awhile since I did this but a combo of things, kinda created this rant, and thought process. So will advise in advance viewer discretion advised in case i get vulgar. So i was joking with my wife that Canada and UK were going to invade Italy like they did during WWII. When she responded to me that her grandparents didnt experience much of that during the war because they lived in the country, but said that if the German soldiers came by their door always had to be open for them. And it got me thinking about the worlds current state of affairs, and bare with me because I know I am skipping steps, but trying to avoid the emotion i began to feel, and avoid the Empath in me, that is sometimes unwelcome in a public forum. I also believe in light of the tragedy of the explosions in Boston, that it has led my thought process down this road, and it all started from a private joke. It was a joke that I think i will now forever etch in my mind, a private moment between my wife and I about things adults do. Her response however jokingly, led me to think about other things, and this is where it may become a sane rant, but if it goes beyond that, dont say i didnt warn you. In the late 1930's to mid 1940's there was the 2nd world war (1939-1945) in which many lives were lost. This was caused by a rise in a dictatorship that was allowed out of Germany. Many never saw it coming. Soon the world was divided into one side or the other, unwillingly. My wifes grandparents, and my own grandparents were part of that division. Bring up the events of Boston, which are as yet unproven as an act of terrorism abroad (the US has been known to have an incident to two, that is home grown). And it made me think of what that war represented and also the formation of the UN. The UN is our modern day Hitler, choosing to force other countries into the big 7 way of thinking, led by the UK and USA. The UN is in fact the Hitler of our day and age. Look at the attacks that have happened both in the UK and USA, and I will say it is a direct result of the UN. But for some reason people dont look at it the same way as they do Hitler. Because its by country not by an individual. Yet if we take a look at what the UN has done over the past few decades you will see the exact same pattern. So lets use Hitler as an example and then compare to the UN without repitition. Hitler had an ideal, that stood for what he believed in, and he got others to follow, soon he got more than 1 country to follow, soon he rallied more people to his cause in the desrtuction of a race, a population, a way of life. He forced change on those who did not ask for it. He told them that this was thier new "better" way of life, and in the case of Hitler he said blonde hair blue eyes (paraphrasing) The UN is no different except now they play the "democratic" way of life, forcing countries that they have no business sticking thier noses into, to change to their thinking. It is no different, NOT AT ALL, the UN goes into a country and kills, both those who fight for their own feedom and the innocent within their own country, governed by thier own rules, and says this is how it is supposed to be, because we say so. We wonder why attacks happen on American and UK soil, that lay claim to terrorism. Yet we forget that the 2 main leaders of the UN are just that. And NO I am not saying any of those events are justified or less tragic, I am saying sometimes the "BULLY" gets bullied! We spend our days talking about bullying and how it needs to stop, and how we need to take a stand, but we only look at it on an individual level, not on a bigger scale. Is it just me or are we missing something here? Or will it take more innocent lives on this planet, before we finally come to our senses? Do we not have governments within our own countries to govern? Is that not the choice of the people.within its own country to decide? And if necessary, ask for outside help instead of it being forced upon them? Just my thoughts for the night!

Interesting, right? I mean...it makes a lot of sense, what he is saying. Sometimes I do agree that other countries have it horrible. They don't have the rights that we do as a Democracy, and people live in fear because they cannot be open about certain things. But, to go in and demand people change...then to hop into a war which destroys the people native to that land, it's just awful. Our people are dying because we cannot mind our own business. Our cities are being attacked because we have claimed this throne of power over everyone else. We are making ourselves the enemy and in the end, I fear it will ruin us, and ruin our beautiful nation. I believe we should be focusing on our own problems rather than try to fix the world...because to me, it's not going to be won with war. To me, it will never be won. Conflict and thus conflicting ideas are just how the world is and how it works.
Anyways...my next update is about work. I hate it.
It's not just that it's taking away my Saturdays...it's also about the fact they are unorganized, the fact we are only given one break, and the fact that they just seem to not care about important things, and they lie all the time about stuff. they lied about people speaking mostly english there, they lied about making a schedule to fit my needs. They lied about there being carpools for me. They just lie.
So...here is what I am doing. I am looking into 2 different options right now. I'm either going to look for a job on Taz's base and see if I can find a really cheap flat that maybe I can afford. Then, when DOMA is repealed (if it gets taken away) and we get married, then I will already have a job near her. OR my other option is that as I get paid, I need to look for a new flat in Augsburg. There is nothing wrong with the city or flat I am in now except that not many trains go by here. That means it makes it really hard for me to get to work as well as getting home from work. Still...it's just one of those things that seem small, but moving would make it easier on me, I could get more sleep before work, and it would make things just so much easier. (Except it would be father for Taz to travel to me).
These are my two options and I'm not sure what I am going to do yet. Obviously I want to stay with amazon as long as possible, but at this rate...it's only been 2 days and I'm going nuts. I won't even begin to mention the sexual harassment (that might come tomorrow). Anyways, time for bed for me. I will talk to you later.[[But I did practice German today and learned 2 new verbs for "like" and "see" ]]
