This and that
Well, I'm up. (Ta Da!) This is the second time this morning that I can say that. Earlier (and I do mean early) I was up for about an hour. While on my meds sleep comes when it will. I do get about 4 hours at a stretch before I wake. However, when I do wake, it takes awhile to go back to sleep. Nothing to do then but get up and do something until I get tired. Then I can go back to bed for another few hours. Fortunately(?) getting tired from activity doesn't take long these days. Yesterday, between naps, I was in an energetic state. So my wife asked me to check out the damage to her flowers she has in a planter on the deck. When I went out to assess the damage, I found the cause of her distress. As I approached the planter, a pair of ears popped up between the flowers. It was followed by a head attached to an adolescent rabbit. The rabbit kept munching as it wached me approach. I was a bit surprised at it's boldness but then thought that after it spent it's young life being threatened by dogs, cats, coyotes, owls and hawks, a wheezing 60 year old may not have seemed much of a threat. I am still very susceptible to the heat and will have to be extra careful for awhile. Yesterday I needed something out of my car, but after just a few seconds in the garage I was drenched in sweat (or, as the ladies used to say, glowing). I decided I really didn't need to go to my car with the garage door down after all. It was an oven in there. I am still a bit self conscious about the Disability Placard. I did use it and it is easier but I couldn't help but think people were watching and saying to themselves "Look at that big lout. I should call a cop. There's nothing wrong with him." I'm probably being paranoid but I am not real comfortable having to use it. I thought of getting a T Shirt mentioned on one of the sites I visit that says "Bad Lungs Don't Show!" Since the shirt exists, I suppose this is not an uncommon problem. Well, my manic phase is over for awhile. I'll wap it up. I hope every one has a great Sunday.Tom

Glad you are moving about more. Don\'t get too bull headed and try to stay inside as much as possible.
I understand about the disability card...all I can say is to hell with everyone else! You do what you need to do to keep yourself alive. There will always be someone who will think or say something rotten. Through your suffering you have \"earned\" that little blue card...it may be hard to use it now, but it will get easier. In the long run you will benefit from using it. Just think, when you are feeling better you might not need to use it as often :)
Enjoy your view from inside,
