This and that
Christmas this year has been very nice. Yesterday we went to my niece's open house and had a great time with my brother and his brood and their respective suitors as well as my group with their dates. No one seems to be in any hurry to get married so no grandkids or grandnieces/nephews are anywhere on the horizon. That's too bad. My brother and I don't have any reason to get any toys(for the kids of course)...and test them out. I'm about turkeyed out though. My niece served turkey yesterday and we had turkey again today for our Christmas meal at home. We had a very large bird so I see a lot of turkey yet in my immediate future. Actually I do like turkey ...a lot. Only not all at once. The ENT doc's office called and said that I have vocal cord dysphonia. They said that it was probably neurological and there's nothing they can do about it. It's mostly an inconvenience, I just going around sounding like Darth Vader. I looked online and I thought that maybe I had that instead of asthma. From what I have read it seems more likely I have it along with asthma. If it were simply vocal cord problems then the rescue meds would not work and might even irritate things. In my case the albuterol works wonders so I suspect I have both so I will keep taking my meds. I go in for the sleep study on the 30th. I'm no palm reader but I think a CPAP machine is in my future. They asked me if I snore and I replied only when I'm sleeping. They didn't think that was funny(tough room) but were very emphatic that I have the test...so I will. I'm actually feeling pretty good and have had a great holiday week. I hope that you all have too. Tom
