THIRD DAY OF CHRISTMAS
went to k's for "boxing day" dinner yesterday.  k seemed exhausted to me.  his stereo isn't working - have to remember that for gifts, to use his albums, he'll need the old kind of stereo... so no christmas music and rg didn't help with the dishes from christmas day.  did he want him to?  pl wasn't around.  pl is back in san antonio as he couldn't find work here and in san antonio all he has to do is show up and he is hired.  i know of places hiring here, he should have said something.  every time he goes to texas he comes back within a year because he gets homesick and very bad timing for another move, though i bet he had work immediately because of the holidays.  so the economy is fine in texas and we are in a MESS in florida.
k loaded up on the ham and turkey.  i can't eat all that.  we had ham up north as well, turkey ham.  kind of all hammed out.  i would have preferred more steak.  (though i'm against eating both animals, its sickening).  he also had pork loin and smoked turkey which i don't eat.  i mostly ate the veggies and i think it annoyed him.  (i had already eaten chinese with the girls when we were shopping and even though it was a few hours before i wasn't that hungry.  have to remember not to eat a big lunch next year, or better yet, show up around mid-afternoon, it works out better).  talked to mr and she says publix had filet mignon on sale, that is what they had over there.  yum!
k made raspberry martinis with real raspberry puree.  soso.  they looked very festive and his fridge is stocked with bottles of wine again, so i guess his quitting drinking isn't happening.  surprizingly, he didn't trim his tree with ornaments this year, just the lights (its a pre-lit), but everyone i know minimized this year.
then went to richard's to relax and check on the animals.  i had wanted to do that first, but it became a choice, either get to k's house by 6 and not look too great, or go to richard's first and get to k's late.  we seem to have become so old in the passed five or more years that showing up in the afternoon and then an early night is becoming the better way, so another change.

I enjoy reading your 12 days of Christmas Journals each each. The raspberry martinis sound fabulous to me, never had one. I know know I too am tired of ham and turkey for a bit. I would like a nice Filet Mignon didn\'t know about Publix and all. Tonight sounds like grilled pork chops for us. I am into eating avocado all of a sudden, can\'t seem to get enough. Weird right? Make it easy too, cut it in half, put on some lime or lemon, salt, pepper, grated sharp cheddar cheese and bacon bits...umm good.

Yes, Florida is having problems and Texas keeps on going. We need to learn a few lessons. XXOO

Isn\'t \"boxing day\" and UK thing?

We always get soooo burned out of Turkey and Ham that on Christmas we change it up a bit.

This year we did lot\'s of Hor D\'oeuves, but the best were the Tamales. I love those things.

Not to sure about Texas keeping on going. I sell Real Estate and it is SOOOOO SLOW. Well, it is in my little piece of the world.
