Thinking, thinking, and more thinking

First,I realized today why I haven't been able to tell either of my parents the dire situation I and my kids are in. I tried to talk to my mom and she continued to steer the conversation to get damn birds, how sorry she feels for my sister, and how Louie poised her off this morning. Oh yeah, and how my brother...the one in prison...needs money again, so can I call my dad. So I gave up. Then I call my dad and I'm trying to tell him that his youngest son is basically homeless and sleeping in a vehicle in subzero temps and he actually said so what! That he had problems of his own, do I realize how expensive it is to fix a jaguar, his girlfriend's car!? I remember that the first time Timmy hit me, I went to my dad asking for help getting a car to get out. He told me that"there are two sides to every story" and he knows how stubborn I can be. Basically I needed to work it out and learn to be more obedient and less hard headed. He did eventually get me a car,  which Timmy ended up taking from me, but his general advice had been that Timmy is such a good guy(he should hear what he says about him) and I need to lose some of my pride. Why on earth would I share this with him!? So enough feeling sorry for my crappy, self centered parents.

Oh God... I can\'t believe your dad said that to you after your husband first hit you!! How unsupportive can a person be? :( I went to my dad too. He went, \"Oh right, so he slaps you around does he?\" That was the sum total of his help. Fantastic :/

I\'m so sorry you don\'t have their support, and can see why you feel it wouldn\'t be helpful to ask again for it. Man, putting a Jaguar over your kids?? That\'s awful.

But you have us! We will always be around when needed ;) Hugs xxx
