Thinking

I have a lot to think about today Iike abuse and what to do with it. You think abuse would make you hurt or be sad and I guess sometimes abuse makes you feel good. It's a lot to think about but where would I go?

I think there are different kinds of abuse. There is physical abuse which causes injury to the body and there is emotional abuse in which the abuser manipulates the feelings of someone else so that he can do as he pleases with that person. It can make you feel good temporarily, perhaps but if it makes you feel guilt then that can cause problems later in life and be more difficult to heal. Telling an adult that you can trust like a teacher or a guidance counselor, would be the best thing you could do for yourself and for your future and the rest of us here would support you every step of the way. Think about it.

As Bob says, we are here for you. It's a scary step to take, but you're not alone. Hugs.

Honey, in my heart I read the word 'abuse' to me that means "hurt'. When I was in my teens my stepfather sexually abused me...I never told anyone, like you I didn't know where to turn.

You wrote that you were in therapy after your Mom and Dad passed, would it be possible for you to go back to therapy? If you tell your therapist, You Would Not Be Reporting Your Uncle.....it's A Law for any medical person, mandated, they Have To Report Any Type Of Abuse! So many years later, I have forgiven my step father because he's an alcholic, that is No Excuse for what he did!

So the above is Physical Abuse, Bob is Right! there is also emotional and verbal abuse. Both of my parents were alcholics, so I also got physical, sexual, and emotional abuse. I was Not Given What I Needed Emotionally and not paid attention to growing up...they didn't drink during the day, their cocktail hour would start at 5pm...I really don't want to go into the details, lets just say that by 7pm I was in my room for the night where it was safe.

This is nuts, but when my son was around 4 years old, I broke my wrist in a fall...at the time I was driving a stick shift car...my therapist Reported Me because mentally I was in a bad place...my aunt was dying...and because it was my right wrist that I broke, and I had to sort of let go of the steering wheel reach over to the shift with my left hand.

What ever road you take, be it therapist, or school teacher or counselor I Promise You, I will do my best to support you any way I can! If you feel safe enough, write down Only In Your Journal the "State" you live in, No Other Personal info!!! I can go on line and see what supports there are in your State Only!

I used to wonder how God could let me be abused...it wasn't until many years later that I under stood it isn't Gods Fault That Bad Things Happen To Us....rather is is by the Poor Choices That People Make.....the man who killed your parents is in prison for their death, and has to live the rest of his life knowing that he took the life of two people and left a little girl with no parents. Your Uncle is making Bad Choices/Not Right Decisions??? that are So Confusing to you right now...I would think you are scared about what will happen to you, and to him...just my thought.

I'm reaching right through my computer giving you mega hugs...could you tell me your favorite color? I'd like to buy a candle, light it and say prayers for you, Health, Healing And Peace, In Gods Time...and God Is Always On Time! ml
