Things Worth Sharing
Today I was blessed with posts by friends on Facebook that provided links to some truly inspirational videos. I wanted to share them with you all. So many of us have children who destroyed themselves, either directly or indirectly... and sadly I think a lot of times it was because they let other people define how they felt about themselves...
There were times when Cara was feeling hopeful about getting her life back on track... she said she hoped she could work with addicts to help them because she understood... so I just want her and all our kids to know that they are still touching and helping others. I am inspired to share this by them.
To me the video featuring Ash isn't about sexual orientation... and I don't think it was for Ash either...
The second video is also urging people to stop letting other people define how we feel about ourselves... They might seem overly long... but the message is worth listening to and sharing.
To me these videos both say we need to gather our freedom... to be who we are... and to love who we are... to see the world through our own eyes... to lead the way for others to love themselves... to be real... Thank You Shane, Ash, Abby, Cara and all our angels.

I shared the second on Facebook, not that the first wasn\'t awesome, but because bullying was talked about where I taught and assemblies were given on the subject in hopes to make it stop. Thank you, Elissa. XO Sharon

Defining ourselves through others eyes and through externals brings nothing but pain and heartache. Seeing the world through our own eyes is the freedom that we seek. It\'s a choice and a daily one, isn\'t it?

I saw these on Facebook too and watched both of them yesterday. I love the
TED videos, sometimes a bit long, but full of impact, inspiration and wisdom. Thanks for sharing both places. (Btw, since I updated the FB app on my iPad, it crashes.) I can get on FB via Safari, but chat takes forever.) I just want to let you know why. :(
