Things to do
Hello Community,
I received a nice comment (on my Journal entry) from Caring1 in which he included a few places that he would like to visit. This started me thinking of what I want to do while I am physically able and mentally competent.
I was raised in Saudi Arabia and my family vacationed in Europe, Africa, and Asia. I was in the USMC and visited Asia several times. My wife, a law professor, has spoken at several conferences in Europe and NZ and Australia and I have accompanied her. I have been very lucky only by circumstance to see much of the world.
My list:
1. I have been writing a mystery novel. I would like to finish it and have it published. My problem is that I am too much a perfectionist and I keep changing a sentence or an adjective...nothing really major...I need to learn to "let go". I have 156 pages written. I expect to add 100-120 pages. These additional pages have been outlined, but not written. So I have a ways to go.
2. I have never been to South America. I wish to visit Santiago, Chile and visit the wine country and attend a cooking school. (I have attended a cooking school outside Bangkok and have taken lessons in Iranian cooking.)
3. I wish to attend one of the Grand Tours...Tour de France, Vuelta (Spain) or Giro (Italy). I would prefer the Giro as I could take an Italian Cooking Class.
4. I wish to attend the Italian Open or the French Open...Tennis. I prefer clay courts.
5. I would like to re-visit NZ and Australia. I have never been to Western Australia.
6. I would like to win the Lottery!
Take care,
Joe
