Things are looking up for a change
Since leaving hospital at the end of July I have manageed to lose 60 pounds to my astonishnisnent.I take it all back about the Byetta pen,its worked a treat. My having that hospital episode was the turning point I needed,...! Although it was the metformin that nearly killed me,it did me a favour in a strange sort of way,as it was absolute hell in hospital which was emphasized more by my having extra weight. Still got a way to go as I need to lose at least 5 stone which is a daunting prospect but,at least Im heading in the right direction for a change. Only problem now is my sore foot, which also happens to be a club foot as well.Somehow Ive spent a fortune on various gel pads, shoes, creams and socks but nothing has really helped to give me relief,so therefore I can't do the walking I was intending to do. But I am moving more and have noticed the difference losing 3 and a half stone has made to my life even now. Im due to see my diabetic consultant November 4th and can't wait to see his reaction to my weight loss, which I did for me not him,as he insulted me at my lowest point while in hospital, having been dramatically taken off my anti depressants, which is something you are not supposed to do anyway. Just hope I can keep going now,as its taken some determination on my part to get this far,but I just want to acheive this one thing of losing my weight,so that I never have a repeat of my hospital horror story ever again......
