Things Are Looking Up

I could not wait to get on here today to report GOOD news for a change.  I did all my errands this morning and took care of updating new cards with everybody and assuring all needed scripts will be covered. I picked up 2 more meds and no charge (which there wasn't supposed to be)  I mentioned to pharmacist about being told they were to reimburse (or credit me) for the overages I was charged  this month.

I also came home to open the mail with an envelope from old car insurance that was cancelled and to be refunded. Instead of a check , I found a phenominal bill with what would be the current updated amt.  I promptly called the insurance broker and told them AGAIN what has taken place. She took down my info and acct # and put a rush on it so it should finally be talken care of.

I also heard from my best bud (cohort in crime coworker) that she knew who was coming as our new produce manager. It is her husband!!!  I have worked with him before. This is a win win because all 3 of us have been so fed up. Now we will finally have 3 good workers who care . Woo-hoo!

I also renewed the lease (still too expensive, but for now I am content and happy where I am. I do need to put names in for waiting list but they are all a year or so out anyway)  I came home and have some beans soaking and a bunch more plus tomatoes/ garlic/ onion/ peppers to make a big pot of chili.  And I picked up a strawberry cream cake for a bon voyage for boss that I'm gonna take in tomorrow for his last day.

The fact that I followed through and that things seem to be going better has really helped my mood.  When we know what to expect and have some control is so much better than chaos and uncertainty.

Also, an old friend of hubby's texted me again. Thinking maybe I should just check in .

old friend of hubbies is checking on his friends widow I would say yes text or call him to check in....glad chaos is subsided for now with some things falling into place....sorry the car insurance did not send you the refund you should have gotten....

places to live are going up....it is a national trend.....since pandemic many landlords have had to evict people and that costs them money.....so rents have gone up to cover that....

It’s always such a good feeling to be able start resolving stuff and seeing a little light at the end of the tunnel. For me it’s not so much the unknown that takes a toll but having so many things pending at once. But isn’t that how life is… always seems to be waves stuff that makes us feel overwhelmed and powerless and stuff that makes us feel positive and hopeful. We just ride the waves whatever they may be.

Happy you are able to see some results!

Yeah, good news! You took care of business and now it is all working out. You rock, VQ!

I went to Target yesterday and shopped in person. I have not been able to handle the pain of doing this until yesterday. I was able to do it yesterday but it was a project and I had to lay down afterwards but the pain was easily handled. I felt like you felt, victorious and like I did something positive for myself. Hugs to you.

Glad you had a good day accomplishing tasks. Even the smallest give us great control over our day. The cake sounds yummy! I made a big crock pot of Chili Wed., froze 8 containers. Great nutritious meal! Hugs!
