Things are looking better....
Well it's now June. 2011 hadn't started off very well. Things are now leveling out and I don't feel the walls crumbling down.
First off I had a round of testing in April. The fear was the cancer had spread to the bone or the lungs, but it hadn't spread at all. What they found were gall stones. So I had that surgery June 15th and I am feeling pretty good.
My husband and his Mom are struggling with the loss of my father in law. I'm sure this weekend being Father's Day will be tough on them. But we keep moving along and try to stay in touch as a family.
I did loose my job. The school I worked at was shut down. Not sure where I will go now. I like working in schools so I will look around once August comes.
My kids are great and they are what keeps me going. Brandon got his driver's license in March. I can't believe he is that old. He's a good guy and has his head on straight. Kathleen graduated 8th grade. She is an excellent student and is becoming an excellent athlete. Many of the high school coaches are trying to recruit her.
Many days I miss my family in MI. I still don't fit in here in Illinois, but I keep faith that this is where God meant to be. I just need to open up my heart more so I can feel where he wants to lead me. I will try to keep listening.
