There's always something
Since I started the Nexium I haven't had much in the way of stomach problems related to meds. But even before RA and before Celebrex I had the occasional terrible stomach ache. I have ever since I had my gallbladder removed in '01. I know what brings them on- too much junk food or greasy food. And yet, I have stupid lapses in judgement and then have to deal with the consequences.
Wednesday I took my daughter to Popeyes for lunch, which would have been fine if I ate only one piece of chicken. But I ate two, and a buttery biscuit. Then, (even though I knew in the back of my mind I shouldn't) I had bacon with our pancake dinner. Shortly after dinner a stomach ache took hold. It lasted until about 2 AM this morning. On top of the stomach ache, I had forgotten to take my meds before my daughter and I went out on Wednesday, and I purposefully didn't take them yesterday because they make existing stomach aches worse. So I was achy all over and spent much of the day alternating between slow pacing (so I wouldn't get stiff) and sitting under a heating blanket. Thankfully I seem to be back to normal today. I'm still chastising myself for eating so poorly of course.
Now I have lots of stuff to catch up on around here, starting with the bathrooms, Ugh. We currently only have 2 because our 3rd is being renovated very slowly. When I have to clean the bathrooms is the only time I'm thankful it still is.
