There is no "cool" in colon.
I feel terrible. I'm two days post colonoscopy and I'm so constipated I can't tell where exactly I'm feeling pain. I feel bloated, full, achey, crampy and exhausted. The pain in my right ovary is shooting through my hip and lower back; all I want to do is poop.
The bowel prep was about as disgusting as you would imagine. I don't think I ever want to taste pineapple flavored anything after drinking a gallon of Golytely. I found a nice combo of holding my nose and getting Jello in my mouth before I let go so I didn't gag from the flavor.
The colonoscopy went well, the doctor found what looks like endometriosis in my bowel, I'm still waiting on biopsy results but it's just about certain. I have no idea what happens from here. I guess I just wait again. Practicing patience is becoming my new hobby.
I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and wound up in the ER less than 8 hours after the procedure was done. I had the worst migraine I've ever had and couldn't hold anything down. That was no fun, everything hurt so bad and I couldn't get comfortable.
I'm not usually this much of a whiner; it's been a rough couple of days.
In less than two weeks I go in for my laparoscopic surgery, they will explore and remove any endometriosis they can find, remove the cyst that is visible on ultrasound and give me an official diagnosis. I'm nervous but ready for this step to be over. I'm hoping that it will relieve some of the pain I experience on a daily basis and that with some hormonal therapy I can get my life back on track. Let's hope.
