There are times...
...so many, many times during the day where I feel so much sadness and dark depression, I wonder if I will feel like this for the rest of my life...
...and I've been wondering about that for all of my life so far. I tell myself, "come on, there are so many things to be happy about, count your blessings, live in this moment right now..."....and sometimes, once in awhile, it works...but usually, it doesn't.

I could have wrote this myself. Once my counselor asked me how long I have felt depressed, my answer was I have been depressed since as long as I can remember as a child. I know I have had a few happy memories in there but mostly I have been sad and unhappy.
I do hope you can find some happiness. I do not wish what I go through day after day on anyone. Life is so short.........hugs
just take things one day at a time,i think we don\'t know what type of mood we are going to awake in,its great when you wake up feeling optimistic, then horrible when you can\'t shake that \"dark cloud\" feeling.try not to think \"rest of my life like this\" that in itself is a very depressing thought In time your grief for juno will subside and it will get easier to live with and then hopefully the good days will outweigh the bad, just keep pushing that thought about \"things to be happy about\",if it works for you some of the time then that is good, stick with it,hopefully it will be easier some day to keep that frame of mind going, hugs xx
I agree with babyclay, try to take things one day at a time. Looking too far ahead can be too daunting. See if you can find one thing each day that is just for you, even if it\'s as simple as savoring a cup of tea or reading a few pages of your favorite. If you get through one day, you get through another and another.
I hope you have a good weekend! Hugs xoxo
Thank you all so much. I\'m feeling better right now....suffering from depression (and anxiety...and OCD) really stinks....I\'ve most likely had it since I was a teenager, but did not find good help until I was 30. My father suffers from major clinical depression; I grew up with it in the house.
You\'re right; I can\'t get overwhelmed or let these dark thoughts \"flood\" me...taking one moment at a time helps when I can calm myself down.
Hugs to all of you. xoxo
