Therapy
I am thinking long and hard about checking into some sort of therapy or online counseling. I did see options for grief couseling both from links from funeral directors but also listed on my insurance. Truthfully I think I do need more than that.
I have once before been so deep in that hole and seeing no way out could not seem to find my way out. Thankfully my sister did see and did convince me to do inpatient therapy and that did save me (as well as their help to resolve some issues no one would touch prior to that point.)
Right now I am feeling very low with little to look forward to, but not having that complete hopelessness and dispair. But it is still not good and it does scare me a little. I am trying very hard to hang in and having my ups and downs. That blasted yoyo. I should be picking out a few new pieces of furniture for now and to take with me as I move into a ne wplace, also want to trade in and get another car... these are good things I should be excited about, but I really don't care about any of it right now. It is like this deep emptiness, despair, amd unimportance is what is taking over right now.

If you would like a referral to a Christian counselor, you can call 855-382-5433 for a free referral. They might also have some good counsel for you. I'm sorry you are in this low place, but be encouraged. Depression is usually temporary, especially if you can get to the root of it. The lack of sun in the winter doesn't help, on top of the loss and changes you have been through. Sending hugs and prayers.
Sorry you are feeling so bad right now. I think therapy is a good idea. Since Covid my therapist has been talking with me on the phone or online so if you don't feel up to it, you don't have to go in. I've found therapy to be somewhat helpful. Just another tool to keep me out of that really dark place you are describing.
Really proud of you for considering talking to someone, Kim. Self care, 100%.
Sometimes you need to reach out for more than your friends can offer. I hope you look into some options and find something that will work for you. Hugs my friend!
Kim I am thinking of counseling for my addictive money issues....greed and envy course thru every inch of me.....and I am sick of it....change is not easy but talking with someone skilled in helping with personal issues is a great thing.....I had YEARS of Psychotherapy with my psychiatrist sitting telling him everything in my world that made the difference in him finding me the right drug that cured my mental illness or arrested it....put into remission....
Hugs Kim.
I hope you do find some type of counseling that helps and I know it's not for everyone but I am doing group therapy as well as individual and have found it really helpful. I never wanted to be in a group in the past but right now it's just what I needed. The women in my group are from all walks of life but we all have very similar problems. Some of us are experiencing these for the first time and others are survivors who give me hope of what's on the other side. Just like being on here it is comforting to see you are not alone in your struggles and people who are going through or who have gone through similar situations give the best advice. Hang in there. My best friend and I call each other Wonder Woman so I am sending you my Wonder Woman super powers over the internet. Hitch a ride on the invisible jet and kick some ass!!
