The welcoming of another mom.

Yesterday it happened again. Another friend lost a son. Today my mom, sister and I went to visit, took something to nibble on and hugged...cried. My heart breaks for Michona and Brett. Michona asked for the info for DS & FMO and I so hope that she will join us. You all have helped me in ways I can't even try to explain. Well, I guess you already know.
It always makes me a little nervous but still happy at the same time to see Michona's husband Brett because I end up staring at him and I know it must make him very uncomfortable but I just can't help myself. He looks just like Jeff! Kinda eerie but pretty cool at the same time. I used to be really hung up on the fact that I would never know what Jeff would look like when he got older but every time I see Brett it makes me smile because I DO know exactly what he would look like now. It makes me think that sometimes when we are hurting this deeply that God throws us something, a little wink, a gift, just to help us get through.

Oh darlin, I\'m so sorry for your friends loss. Please keep us posted if/when you hear that she has joined.

FMO has beautiful sympathy cards (designed by our very own BioWoman)...if interested please let me know.

I totally agree that we get little gifts, little winks, from God and our kids to help us exhale and take one more step.

Stay strong when you can, cry when you need to, and know that you know, that I love you SO much!

You will know how to BE with your friend in a way that no one else can that is not walking this path. I\'m so sorry to hear of another mom having to begin this very long, long journey. :(

I think it wonderful that you can look at Brett and imagine your Jeff. I must admit that I do that as well when I watch Brad Pitt and all of his movies. :)

Thinking of you and your tender, precious heart and your dear friend... deep sigh...

Lots of love,
Joanie

Colleen, I am saddened to hear of the passing of your friend\'s son. Sigh....having your understanding will help them a lot.
I agree. God gives us these little gifts of glimpses of our kids and you taught me this...that they \"are visits not keeps.\" Your words have turned these glimpses into blessings for me. Thank you. Love you, Linda

Colleen, I\'m sorry for your friends loss of her son..I also believe these are little God winks to help them, at the same time it is helping you..Seeing Jeff in Brett must be the most awesome feeling.. God works in mysterious ways!! God works through people. What a gift, it is to see jeff through Brett, I can picture you starring at him. Does he know the reason you look at him and get a Image of Jeff when he gets older?!?! Love & Hugs, Kelly

I am so sorry to hear of your friend\'s loss.. only another mom knows her pain, and as hard as it is, we can connect as now one else will.
Hugs to you both,

I\'m so sorry to hear about another mothers loss. I know you will be a great source of strength to her. I love that you can have a glimpse of what Jeff would look like now. I do that all the time with my middle son. It\'s bittersweet but I\'ll take the sweet. Sending you love. Robin
