The Wedding Tribute

Jeanne; Greg and Jill's wedding was awesome, just like you had helped plan it.  you were right that the time that has passed since you left us, allowed the family to celebrate without such heavy hearts.  I have to tell you that the past 14 days I have felt awesome and engaged in life and the wedding.  there were several tributes to you throughout the week of the wedding which made me feel close to you and I knew that you were there right by our sides.
The night of the rehearsal was a spectacular with the view over the golf course with an awesome sunset. I could see you and I golfing and laughing which put  big smile on my face.
Michele gave all of us crying handkerchiefs made from one of your blouses.  she came over the house when I wasn't here with Jenn they were looking for your wedding gown but you had already made a christening outfit from it so she decided to use your blouse.  we all cherish the hankies although it was something that caused me to have an outburst quietly on the balcony.
I had a mass said for you on the day of the wedding. It was attended by our family.
in your honor all of the ushers and myself wore orange socks since orange was your favorite color.
Our daughter in law Jill brought the place to tears in a special toast to you.  she told everyone of your talk about the wedding plans with you and that you asked that one flower be present on their wedding day to remember you.  She told everyone that one flower would not be enough to show her love for you.  So she had 2 orange flowers in every arrangement at the hall, the church and bridesmaid bouquets so everyone could feel your love and presence. I think there were about 60 orange lilies. I had a minor outburst of grief during the toast, I gave her a big hug told her WE loved her.  then I stopped crying and danced and had a great time
Jill wanted up lighting  which you told her we would provide.  Well during dinner the up lighting throughout the hall was orange and all everyone could think of with a smile was you. Right after dinner the lighting changed different colors.  Jill said she did not have the color set for orange.  I have to wonder if that is something you did so we knew you were there.
There was a memory candle lit in your memory.
I had a centerpiece made and brought it to the cemetery.  Greg and Jill joined me at your grave.
Just like you wanted we all celebrated and Greg and Jill had a great wedding and I pray that they have a long happy marriage.
You certainly were present in our hearts, minds and smiles.  although it did hurt terribly not to be able to dance with you.
I miss you so much and every day is a challenge to go on with out you.   I am starting to feel that my life is going to go one just like you wanted it to do but I will never forget you or stop loving you until we meet again.

I LOVE YOU FOREVER
