The Wedding

My niece's daugther got married on Saturday.  Lisa was supposed to do the wedding cake.  We have been looking forward to this for a long time. Lisa was so excited that she was asked.  Liz put off ordering a cake until just a few days before the wedding.
It was an absolutely beautiful day.  The ceremony was outdoors in a park by a lake.  The autumn colours were magnificent and the sun shone.  I like to think that Lisa had something to do with the weather as it poured rain the day before.
My granddaughter and son-in-law were there too.  Harvey looked desolate - he met Lisa at a wedding.  Cevyn was beautiful - her mum would have been so proud.
It was bitter sweet.  I wish I could believe that Lisa is up there watching.

yes, the happy times are very bittersweet... but Lisa was there in every beautiful moment...

Dear Marlene, I have tears in my eyes. I\'m sure it was bittersweet & you missed your precious daughter at this wedding. I am so saddened for you & Lisa\'s husband. How he must be missing his wife. How old is your granddaughter? I know Lisa is proud of her beautiful daughter & it was nice of Lisa to order up the great weather for the wedding. Sending you love & much understanding. Thank you.
My beautiful granddaughter is 14 - hard to believe. I would post photos but am quite computer illiterate!
I was very angry at Harvey for quite awhile but I really think he was doing the best he could - his coping strategies include acting like nothing happened. I on the other hand vent! When I watched him at the wedding, I felt bad for him.
I appreciate having FMO - not many people understand but I know everyone on this site does. It helps.

I totally understand. I find weddings so very hard, so much optomism and promise. I guess I just don\'t feel that anymore. I have been at several weddings and have had to leave or spent time in the bathroom in tears. The last wedding I was at with Mark was my older son\'s Josh\'s just 9 months before Mark was killed. too many memories. It hurts something awful. Sandi
