The Way

We went to the movie 'The Way' this afternoon.  It is a film starring Martin Sheen and directed by Emilio Estevez.  It is about a father who lost his son who was beginning to walk the Camino de Santiago, the pilgrimage that we did.  He went to France to take the body home but decided to walk the Camino for his son.
I thought I would find it depressing, but I didn't.  I could identify with the father.  We enjoyed seeing some of the places we visited, and places we didn't see (we only did 450 kilometers of the 800).  It made me nostalgic - I really would like to do it again.
If you go to see it, I can tell you that the walk is not as easy as they make it look!
I think Lisa was with us on the Camino, and at the movie.
Lisa:  I miss you always and love you forever.

I have no doubts that Lisa was with you on that walk and at the movies too. Learning how to be in relationship with Lisa now is part of this path.

Glad that you enjoyed the movie and I have no doubt that the walk was far harder than the movie depicted. That\'s Hollywood for you! :)

Hoping this is a gentle weekend for you.

Love and hugs, Joanie
