THE VIPER

I  just got a beautiful bedroom set and they are waiting to deliver it.. Im so excited but Al wants to get the bedroom painted and new carpert before we get it into the bedroom. We went to a carpet store about 40 miles away from our house as they have fairly less expensive remnants. I picked out a really nice shag carpet and decided since the price is going up in June on carpet that I would buy some for my own house that my son lives in. It definetly needs it. Anyway, we are leaving the place and this beautiful Viper (I think its made my Dodge) came driving past us. It was yellow which is my favorite color and I told Al, "If I was to ever own a sports car, that would be the one." So he says "really?" and he catches up to this gorgeous man in this awesome car and points for him to roll down his window.. I was terrified at what he might be going to do. The man is talking on his cell phone and rolls down his window. Al proceeds to ask him " Hey, Can my ole lady drive your car? I just about craped my pants. I was telling Al "OMG, I cant believe you just did that." And then I tell the driver "Never mind. I dont know whats a matter with this idiot Im with". The guy tells Al, "Sure pull over into this parking lot". I really was about to have an anxiety attack. I couldnt beleive Al had done this to me. Al gets out of the truck and so do I, shaking.. The guy is still on his cell and Al walks over and shakes his hand and asks him his name. He says John and that he was adjusting the foot peddles so they would fit me as he was really tall (not to mention, absolutely gorgeous with black curly hair and the bluest of eye). Im apologizing all over the place as he steps out of this stunning sports car. He tells me its ok just drive it around the parking lot as I have a meeting in a few minutes.. I was shaking so hard as I set behind the wheel of this powerful beast. I then told him that I couldnt drive it cause I was shaking so bad but thank you so much for the offer. At this point Al starts laughing and says to this hunk of man "Mark, how ya been. Havent seen you in awhile" They both cracked up laughing at my expense.. I was so pissed. He was one of Als ex customers from Komatsu. He had sold all his equipment and had gotten into something else. Anyways, Mark the hunk tells Al he will take me for a ride to a small town called Pleasant Grove that is about 20 miles from where we were and that Al could pick me up at the exit. I got into this emaculate car and put on my seatbelt. He takes off and squeals the tires and leaves Al in our dust. Were on the freeway now and its slightly packed and he says " Want to see what this car can do and before I could answer he was on the ass end of a 18 wheeler. He goes around it and then passes a bunch of cars and then gets it up to 130 miles an hour. In and out of traffic. My heart was in my throat and I thought for sure I was going to die.. And then I thought, wow, what a way to go. He slowed it down for a minute and then found a clear spot on the inside lane and said " You want to feel what its like to go 165?" I said "hell no, 130 was good enough for me please dont do that". So the rest of the ride he just went normal speed. Al finally caught up to us and Mark told him it was for sell for  $55,000. I tried to coax Al into buying it for me but I can see thats not going to happen... (Besides it probably wouldnt get past 90 if I drove it) What a freaking rush.. Wow, if I was only rich... 22 calves now and Al and his friend Keith took the bulls out to the cows. Poor things just got those babies out of their bellies and now they have to start over.. Glad Im not a cow.. The kitties are absolutely wonderful. I went out and bought them $150 worth of toys and food and litter box. Al said what is the reason when I am going to give them away and I told him I would just give the stuff to Dakota and who ever else takes them. (hoping not to have to do this for awhile..Still sober and smiling.. My life is feeling so good right now I hope it stays that way for awhile. Val (my sis in law) is coming over Saturday and her daughter Mandy and Im treating them again to manicures and pedicures as its time to get mine done. Als going to be out with the cows branding them. I hate to watch that stuff and what they have to do to the little male calves breaks my heart also so Im glad I dont have to go help. Well this is my story and Im sticking to it.. And again always remember to play nice with your loved ones. Life is to short and you never know when their time will be up. Bless all of you and I love you all to pieces.. Thank you so much for being my friends... I love you all dearly.... Y'Vonne

what a rush just to read that! Thanks for sharing that story. What fun.
And the bedroom set, that\'s awesome too. It occurred to me recently that I have done and REdone all of the kids rooms and our bedroom has never even been painted -- still white the way it was after the house was built 13 years ago. I guess it\'s time to put a little of that energy into OUR bedroom too.

Enjoy it all. I\'m glad to see you happy and so glad you are my friend.

WOW what an eventful day, trust those men to get you going! I don\'t think I\'d fancy travelling at 165mph in a car, white knuckle ride yeh! Certainly gets the adrenaline going. Glad you enjoyed it.
My heart goes out to those poor cows who have just given birth and then have to contend with the bulls....oh heavens above....glad I\'m not a cow too.
Good to know you\'re happy with life now and are making good progress with your goal, well done you!! Have a lovely weekend and Happy Mothers Day

as an ADD skimmer, I confess to only gleaning hi-lites, but it sounds like you\'re having lots of fun and getting a mini-lifestyle makeover. Sounds like the kitties are too! Good times :O! Superfast cars kinda scare me, but in a good way. And glad your lil\' baby cows are ok.

There\'s no way I could have driven that car either. I\'d love to have one but I would probably never drive it due to anxiety attacks. That was a really great story though.
Much love,
Kim
