The Visit

I went to visit my step-daughter and her familyt today.  It was nice, reminding me of how lucky I am to still have them in my life.  I have two beautiful grandchildren and a nice son-in-law.  I call the entire family a gift from my husband.
Funny.  When I was ten years old, I told all my friends that I would neve have children, but I would have grandkids.  They told me I was crazy.  Now, I actually have that, but I've got a daughter too.
It feels good.
