The turning point in my life....
It was at this moment that I knew I had to get out...that things weren't going to get better... One day a few years back I was driving H to work he was yelling at me about something..calling me names..spitting on me..I was in tears. I dropped him off at his workplace and I headed home. I was hurting so badly...I was sobbing. I seen this transport truck in the distance and I thought to myself all I have to do is steer my van into the left lane and the pain would stop..it would be over..but then I thought of my children at home waiting for me and I couldn't do that to them. I was shaking and crying even more..I had to pull over to the side of the highway. I just laid there on the steering wheel crying and crying and crying.... It scared me that I thought that was the way out..I began to think...what would happen when my children were no longer waiting for me at home..what would stop me then? It was at that moment that my life changed and I decided I had to leave...I had to get out..I had to make a plan...I was no longer going to live a lie. Since then I have changed..I am still here but I am not that person I was back then...I no longer back down to him..I no longer let his words hurt me...I no longer let him see me cry. I took back the control that I allowed him to have because my life is worth it!!!!

That was very inspirational for me! Thank you for saharing that. I too have been at that point. Where I wanted to veer off to the left. I had the same exact thoughts. And my kids are what stopped me. I thought of them and how they would make it without me. I couldn\'t hurt them like that.
Oh man, your story sounds so much like mine. I was trapped in a marriage that I didn\'t know how to get out of. Luckily meeting my bf gave me the kick in the ass that I needed to go. I will say a prayer for both of us so that we may have peace in the decisions that we have made, strength in the decisions we will make and the courage to face tomorrow. I feel like we are two peas in the same pod...Maria J.
You bet your worth it honey. I\'m sorry though that your still there. I\'ve had those same thoughts and worse, many times and am so glad that I am out of it now after 30 years. Be strong \'L\'. Love you, Sandy
