The TRUTH really will set you free.

My stbx finally got to her breaking point. Whether it was from guilt, remorse panic of me being out of the family or loosing her support structure, most likely a combination of all of these things. She broke down and just unleashed on me.
 
Every word she spoke was laced with poison and meant to hurt, she held nothing back. She told me that she wasn't sorry, it was something she needed that I didn't give to her and it was not a major deal. She resents me for not being a real man and just moving forward for the sake of the children. This conversation went on for 30 minutes, all with the same tone.
 
But do you know what? These words of hurt did not destroy me. While it did hurt, it was no where close to the hurt of the lies over the past 2 years. It showed me what I felt was true, I wasn't over reacting and I was not paranoid or crazy. These words, while they stung, actually offered me healing and closure.
 
I no longer have any doubts, regrets or second thought of my choices now.
 
So while she intentionally tried to hurt me, all she accomplished was to set me free.
