The Tiger Woods "incident"

Sick of hearing about it, so feel a need to externalize.  Part of me doesn't really care what the guy does with his Johnson, except that he shouldn't have gotten married in the first place, if he couldn't keep it in his pants and confined to one woman.  Maybe he thought Erin could "change" him somehow.  Now he's broken her heart and trainwrecked their marriage, possibly beyond repair.  Trust is gone.  Tiger's lost his endorsements and the respect of the PGA and many of his fans.  For what?  Sex.  Selfish pleasure and need for continual excitement.
What bothers me about him is his attitude of selfish pride and entitlement, as though multiple ladies were "perks" of the job somehow, whether he's married or single, and he (naturally) didn't want to give that up.  The weakness of the flesh is understandable, but the pride and feeling entitled to the satisfaction of his every desire is what makes him an asshole. That and the sneaking around.  If he wants his cake and eat it too, at least be honest with his wife.  But Erin hasn't told her story either.  The truth of the matter is probably that they both got settled in domestic "bliss", and it proved too boring, for him anyway.  They lost that sexual freakiness, the spontaneity of sex.  It happens, in a prolonged domestic cohabitation, especially when the kids come along.  The kids and household chores become the priority, and both married partners are simply cogs on the mechanism, too bored or exhausted to indulge in extracurricular activities...unless there's a change of scenery, where early-30s, virile, excitement-seeking Tiger, in the absence of his wife, globe trotting in golf tournaments and enjoying leisure in sin city, Vegas, was all too prone to temptation of forbidden fruits, other beautiful and exotic ladies.
So many are so cavalier about saying those wedding vows, saying them without really internalizing and understanding the magnitude of what they mean.  But once one says "foresaking all others" in those wedding vows, that's a commitment to one's spouse and a covenant before God, and God, the mistresses, and the hornets of the paparazzi and tabloid news "journalists", all out to make a quick buck and a name for themselves, know, and can make all that trophy money, fame, sponsorship and good name all come crumbling down, by trashing one's name and very soul, as they have.  And God knows none of them are perfect either.  But hope you're a bit more humble now, Tiger!
While no one is perfect, and I'm not sure if I'm capable of making those wedding vows either, unless I really value and love the person that I'm with in a way that goes way, way beyond mere flesh desire, while at the same time enjoying the satisfaction of flesh desires.  There has to be a sense of common good.  Usually that common good is providing stability for the children.  I think, even without kids, that common good can be just good FEELING between the two of us!  Recognizing that the sum is greater than the parts!
Dunno what the answer is, folks!  My sister is recently separated from her husband too, even though they have a son.  Wasn't due to him cheating on her (to my knowledge, although I'm sure he tried--thankfully he's too short, fat, bald and ugly to attract too many ladies lol), it was due to the fact that he wasn't even loving HER.  Their lives became about making money and scraping to pay bills, and there was no energy left over for any fun, apparently, at least fun that involved the both of them.  He kinda retreated into his own world, of video games, and she became the workamule, running a business and the household.  As we see in the Tiger Woods scenario, money doesn't solve this problem either...only creates more idle time for the Devil to sink his claws and tentacles into our hearts and do his destructive "work"...money merely creates a bigger house of cards to come crumbling down.
It's complex.  Wish I had the answer here.  All I know is this relationship stuff is serious business, and one has to be sure of what one wants, so one doesn't hurt the one one loves.  Love is self-sacrifice, for sure, and one must swallow a little pride and be humble.  It's hard, because OUR needs are important too!
