The t-ball experience

For those of you not familiar with teh game of t-ball, it basically is the same as baseball...only the batter hits the ball off of a tee rather than having the ball pitched to them.  T-ball is primarily played by very small children as a means of introducing them to the sport...and today my 5 year old son played his first ever t-ball game. It was so fun to watch him out there with all of the other kids.  No one hits the ball too far...so most of the kids are just doing a lot of standing around...looking at the sky...making sand castles in the infield...putting their gloves over their heads...etc.  My son, however, is a little social butterfly.  So, while in the field, he's talking to the opposing coaches and directing the opposing base runners on when to advance to teh next base when the ball is hit. When batting, my son stands there talking to his coach (not sure about what) before he gets in the batters box to hit.  If he decides he doesn't want to continue playing when he gets older, he certainly has a future as a coach.  In fact, he always says that he wants to be the coach/manager of any sport he participates in rather than actually being a participant.  So we'll see if he stays that way as he gets older. In any case, it was a very special day to watch his first game.  It was a time to make some really good memories...memories to look back upon with joy and happiness. I pray that all of you, my friends, are doing well...that you have a good nights sleep and are blessed with many joys tomorrow.  God bless!
