The Stones Update

I just returned from the urologist office and no surgery YEA!!!! He has ordered a shock wave lithotripsy procedure. He also said it may take three trips because the stones are so large. He is leaving up to the doctor at the Lithotripsy Center to determine if a "J" tube (internal stent) is needed to help allow the fragments to pass. He also ordered a 24 hr urine study to see if they can determine what is causing the stones to form in the first place. PROGRESS. I don't have a date yet but it will be the week of 19th. Monday orTuesday he said. He also gave me meds for the pain, I just hope they don't make me stupid, I don't need any help there....LOL. This is for K, just like the train "I think I can ,I think I can", there is light at the end of this tunnel.....LOL.Therefore I'm treating myself to a Japanese Bistro this evening, although I'll be by myself I will think of my friends on DS, raise my glass in a toast to all of you. Thank you all. I'll keep you posted on the Stones.....lol
