The Steady Employer Says They Don't Need Me This Week

Either they just have nothing for me to do, or they're pulling some funny business by fishing for my replacement, and need this week to do so.  Either way, i don't care...this job, developing websites, while it engages my detail-oriented mind, isn't entirely a good fit for me either.  I'm looking for something more along the lines of home theater installation tech or Best Buy Geek Squad position, or maybe something more spiritual, like reading to the elderly or helping the disabled.  Doesn't have to pay a fortune, just needs to supplement my free-lance activities, with a minimum amount of stress.  Between a steady job and free-lance activities, I should be pretty comfortable.  Traditional job searches, careerbuilder, newspaper classifieds etc., lead to no results, so I'm just kinda throwing my desires out in the air here, as well as telling them to anyone I happen to meet, so that God or some karmic, cosmic force in the universe will make it happen.  Cheers!

have you tried the adverts on Craigslist.com?

Lot of scammers on craigslist (looking to get something done for nothing), but I\'ll check it out anyway, thanks.

What about doing some advertisements in some local pennysavers (town newsletters)?
