The State of My State, July 2012
This latest flare up started out scary, but it's turned out not as bad as I expected. Good thing I went to the hospital right away and then quickly got in to see my PT again. A week after my flare up started, I'm still dizzy during most of the day, but it's usually low. It ranges anywhere from a 2 up to a 5. No Zofran since Tuesday.
I'm drinking homemade ginger twice a day, doing canalith repostioning at home, and praying several times throughout the day to keep myself calm. I'm using meclizine maybe once a day.
Today I broached the subject of surgery with hubby. He already knew about Duke having a vertigo clinic. He's on board with going down there some time to see if I would be a good candidate for surgery. But for now, that's still a goal for the future.
Sitting on the couch watching the Brickyard race with hubby. Have a bottle of Coke, a quilt to keep me warm, and sun pouring in through the screen door. Hubby is sitting on the other end of the couch. He's wearing his brown hiking shirt with denim shorts. He pecks away at the keyboard on his Mac. I lean over and say hey. He glances up with a hesitant smile and says hey back.
Trevor Bayne is in 8th place. I smile as I take another sip of my Coke. Steaks on the grill tonight, assuming I feel good enough to do it. Here's to hoping I will.
“I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have revived me.” Psalm 119:93
