The spiral down continues....
I just want to scream until I can scream no more.
Life has really sucked since the crackhead stole my car. I was on the edge financially when it happened but that was the tipping point.
For the last four years, I've been tired all the time. Not sleepy tired, just exhausted. It's like the last ten minutes of a hangover-24/7. If I sit still I'm ok. But when I start to move my heart starts racing, I get nauseous, my sinuses plug up, and I have trouble breathing. I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and got on a CPAP machine which only made things worse. Even though I make decent money, I'm still paying off the 30K in medical bills accumulated over the past 4 years ($850 a month) and after rent and utilities I have nothing left for any type of fun (co-workers say "let's go have a beer" and I can't because I can't afford it). Then there's having to sleep sitting up because of allergies to perfume/colognes that some people at work bathe themselves. It causes my throat and sinuses to swell to the point that if I lay down, I'm gasping within a minute. So I'm only getting about 4-5 hours of sleep per night. The doctors don't have a clue and would rather throw a pill at it than find the cause. ARGH!!
The topper is the crackhead that stole my car. Sentenced to 15 years- served 60 days due to jail overcrowding. He was considered a non-violent offender and released. So much for justice in Georgia.
I'm just having a hard time keeping a positive outlook on life when I get slammed back and forth every day. I'm hoping 2011 will be better.

Hi Greg, sorry to hear about your current situation. The breathing issue sounds similar to my own. I just figured out what was causing it. Don\'t know if it will help you any, but here goes:
My sinuses were constantly swollen, restricting air flow. Felt like I was suffocating and this kept me from sleeping. The doc wanted me to squirt meds up my nose, down my throat, and wear the CPAP. Nothing was working. He wanted to remove tonsils and turbinates, etc. I think not. He doesn\'t have a proper diagnosis. He doesn\'t know what he\'s treating. But I digress . . .
So, in my case, it ended up being a milk allergy. It didn\'t show up on tests but, by process of elimination, I figured it out. If I avoid milk products for a couple days, my nose opens up, I can breath and get some decent sleep.
In your case, it could be milk, or another common food, or environmental - like you mentioned colognes, etc. I\'ve been drinking milk for years. I was surprised to find that it was the cause of this and other symptoms.
Hope this wasn\'t too long winded. Good luck. Hope things turn around for you.
