The shit just keeps gettin deeper
Well yesterday while at my son's school, the principal approaches me and asks me if she can speak to me. Buddy I ready with Ipod in hand ready to start recording whatever bullshit might be coming my way.
There was a CPS worker sitting in the office waiting to speak with me. Seems that someone at my daughter's school saw some bruises on her arm and wanted to immediately jump to the conclusion that my husband had something to do with it. I think it was the school trying to do something, anything, to try to discredit us because my husband went down there and raised hell with them. I think that it somehow goes back to the principal of the elementary school. She's just mad cause her ego got bruised and my husband "undermined" her "authority" with a student (our son). So I talked to the CPS worker at school, told him he was welcome to talk to my son alone if he so wished, and told him I had no problem with him talking to my daughter like he did and that he was welcome to come by our house at whatever time he wished. So we settled on 4:15 pm that afternoon. Him and another worker, new recruit most likely, showed up, we talked to him and her, and they both put down that our kids are safe and not in any danger. The bruises on my daughter's arm was from her doing it to herself, so we found out. She needs to stop this kind of shit. She's only doing it for attention. We have already talked to her therapist and counselor about it, and that is the only thing we can come up with. Other than dealing with bullshit at school and the house fire, she has not really had anything happen to her that would warrant her doing something like that to herself. She tried to claim that she had started self injuring after her great grandma died, but we had caught her doing similar stuff before that and thought we had had a handle on it back then. But I'm going to talk to her psychiatrist and therapist and see what they have to say about it.
If the school was trying to get a leg to lean on by calling CPS they have failed miserably. There is nothing to hide because there is nothing to find. Ya can't find what ain't there. I seriously think it is just an attempt by the school to discredit us as parents and as a family.
I can't count the parents we have spoken to about this and all of the absolutely got a kick out of how my husband went it and let our sons school have it. Some even asked us to go to their school, like an advocate for their child, and let their schools have it. So many parents are just willing to let the school do whatever and they just sit by sheepishly and go "ok, whatever you think is best." and their kids just have to suck it up and continue being mistreated or over looked or swept under the rug. We are not those kinds of parents. And the way my husband looks is very deceptive. He looks like he's not the smartest cookie on the block, but what most people don't know is that he has a very high IQ, genius level in fact. So it messes folks up when they start talking bs and he sees right through it.
I love my husband.
