the savage god
It figures I would come across that used book a few weeks ago; read it for first time a couple decades ago. Maybe it even makes sense that I probably bought it at a 2nd hand store for a quarter.
Sunday, for bad church memories, though at least not too bad today while biking 2 miles to walmart----though maybe I was obsessed with the long talk I had with walmart cashier, even joking to her at the end of my crazy conversation that she "could be my therapist". I'm gonna be avoiding that nice cashier like the plague for next few weeks.
My worthless idiot of a dad was such a lousy Christian; my broken record to not go into detail about. But, he was enough to turn anybody into an atheist. And if there is a hell, church-going him is in it.
I'm starting to feel more like an uncle I only saw at his funeral; he spent almost most of his life in a mental hospital for schizophrenia. My idiot of a church going dad was incapable of showing me, his only relative, after my uncle's death, any sympathy.
A minority have their heaven on earth. And then there's more people who have their hell on earth, with any hell once your over-whelmed brain has stopped, being a meaningless, abstract, concept.

Well Mike I have said it before and I will say it again. Some things are impossible to get over...but I do believe it is worth trying to modulate the bad memories. Having my Mom with me would be impossible if I were not able to tune down the resentment over the past most of the time. Good luck with your efforts. Its worth it.
just a few minutes ago I was FINALLY thinking to myself: \"I\'m STILL letting my parents ruin my life\"
so maybe my broken record on this site has finally gotten all this stuff out of me that I didn\'t even WONDER ABOUT, for decades.
That\'s wonderful! Definitely time to stop letting them win!
