The roots of our gardening spirits! :) we gardened shopped, and planted today :)
THE ROOTS OF OUR GARDEN SPIRIT! :) A PLEASANT GARDENING DAY! :) my dad, and i had a spontaneous garden shopping adventure today! :) at Surplus unlimited, and home depot! :) we heard about a SWEET TOMATO PLANTS DEAL at surplus. :) 6 plants, for only $1.50. wow! :) my dad said, "wanna go!" i said, "alright!" :) we went shopping at malerba's, we did find some tomato plants, plus 6 cayanne pepper plants for only $1.50. :) this was awesome! :) We were so happy and excited about this great garden deal! :) we want to check surplus again for some more tomato plants throughout the week. :) this is an incredible deal, as home depot is asking for $4 per plant, and we got 6 for only $1.50. :) wow! :) those plants are going fast! :) i was talking to my dad about how we needed some more soil, and how i'd love to chip in and help buy some soil. :) We cruised on down to home depot, and bought 6 awesome bags of soil! :)3 organic bags, and 3 top soil bags. :) we also bought a packet of roma tomato seeds. :) it was so nice garden shopping. :) When we came home, my dad got the wheelbarrow, and we did some gardening! :) we planted tomato seeds, sweet corn seeds, and aslo organizing our gardens a bit. :) We also enjoyed a nice nature walk checking out our fruit trees. :)we really enjoyed our nature/garden day today. :) We've got lots planned, throughout the upcoming week, leading up to our big gardening weekend next week, during memorial day weekend. :) our apple trees, pear trees, and peach tree are doing amazing! :) Lots and lots of fruit growing. :) it felt great today, doing some gardening, and there's lots more to look forward too. :) We're so happy and delighted we got those nice deals for the plants. :) It's GARDENING TIME! :)
my family and i hope everyone is enjoying a great sunday, and a beautiful weekend. :) i just set up a nice mini lamp light here in my computer room, with 2 peat moss planters, with tomato seeds planted! :) We're gonna try to get some more tomato plants sprouting, and growing. :) we're having a sweet nature-eee gardening day! :) the roots of our garden spirit! :) my dad and i love nature, and gardening. :) We just finished up a great afternoon of some gardening shopping, and gardening fun. :) my dad heard about a really sweet garden deal, for some plants. :) at the surplus unlimited store, they've began to put lots of nice garden seeds, and plants out, and my dad found out that they have tomato plants, 6 for $1.50. :) this is a really sweet deal. :) in recent weeks, we've seen tomato plants at home depot, and walmart, going for $4 per plant, and when we found out the deal at surplus, we just had to go! :) hehe! :) my dad asked me if i wanted to go, and i said, "alright!" :) We began our day of gardening joy, and sweet nature spirit. :)
We drove down to surplus unlimited. :) i was so happy we were going there to garden shop, plus i wanted to check if they had some nice Connecticut postcards. :) We arrived at surplus, and saw lots of plants out front. :) We parked right up front near the store, and walked over to the plants area. :) there were lots of people out and about, shopping. :) my dad and i saw pepper plants, corn plants, but didn't spot any tomato plants, so we walked over to the other side of the plants section, and continued to look, we came back to the first area, and way in the back, i said, "that looks like tomatoes!" :) we saw a flat of tomato plants, 6 plants, they looked dried, and 2 of the plants didn't look healthy, but we still wanted to buy it. :) we love to try to nurse plants have to good health. :)
We got the tomato plants (roma plants), plus we got 6 cayenne peppers plants. :) Sweet!!! :) we walked into the store, and my dad got a cart, and we began to browse around. :) i didn't find the Connecticut postcards, but we did see lots of other cool items there. :) we bought a new garden planter digger, plus we picked up some nice garlic spice for my mom. :) we enjoyed browsing around the store, and saw lots of nice things. :) We'd love to go there to shop again soon. :) we were very impressed by the price of the plants. :) my dad's gonna check surplus unlimited store thoughout the week, to see if they have some more tomato plants available. :) those plants will be going fast! :) after we shopped at surplus store, we came home, and my dad watered the plants. :) the tomato plants that we got, really needed water, and are showing nice signs of pepping up. :) 4 of the plants are fine, but the other 2 we'll be keeping a close eye on, to nurse back to good health. :)
i talked with my dad, about how we really need some soil. :) we go through lots of bags of soil each season. :) he mentioned going to home depot to stock up. :) i said, "sure!" :) We drove down to home depot, we did pass by the malerba's farm, and peaceful pond on the way there. :) my dad and i were talking about how we're gonna garden shop at the malerba's farm greenhouses next weekend, during our big gardening weekend. :) at home depot, my dad and i got one of those huge flat carts, and we stocked up on soil. :) We got 3 bags of organic soil, and 3 bags of top soil. :) i helped my dad pay for the soil. :) we went 50/50 :) we also bought a packet of roma tomato seeds, to see if we can get some growing, and to maybe plant in our garden by the end of June. :) plus, it'll be good practice, trying to grow tomato plants from seed. :) it's something we dream about getting really good at, growing the plants from seed each year. :) we finished up at home depot, and came back home. :)

We had a fun time yesterday, celebrating the preakness stakes horse race. :) it was so exciting. :) we watched the race on tv yesterday, Oxbow won the race. :) Congratulations to him! :) my mom did show the #9 horse, that came in 2nd place, she won $8.80 :) She's so happy! :) we had a really nice time celebrating the preakness, going to the mohegan sun, and we want to go back there, for the Belmont Stakes horse race in June. :) it's gonna be so nice. :) We love this time of the year, and all of the joys of spring time, and gardening season. :) my mom was gonna exacta box bet, 3 horses yesterday, the 1, 6, and 9, and if she did, she would have won $150. The exacta came in, #6-#9 wow! my mom said, "oh no!" awww! She said, "next time, i'm gonna go with my first pick! awww! :) She's in good spirits. :) i mentioned to her, that i normally would have bet on a horse like Oxbow,and had a feeling about the horse, 2 days ago. :) there's always next race to look forward too. :)
We're enjoying a nice sunday, and a great weekend. :) my family and i are doing well, and are in good spirits. :) i want to have a good healthy balanced week coming up, with nice nature walks, gardening, tending our plants, plus i want to do some writing. :) i want to write 2 new letters for friends. :) i have a great feeling about the week, and that it's gonna be a nice week. :) There's lots to look forward too. :) my digital camera is still not working, i gotta give the camera a good cleaning, especially around the lens area, where the super zoom is. i've been using my old digital camera, which has been very reliable over the years, i'm thankful i still have the camera to use. :) if my super zoom doesn't work anymore, i want to check ebay for prices, to see if i could maybe get a new super zoom camera. :) i've been thinking of you all often today, and this weekend. :) You all are always in our thoughts, prayers, and in our hearts. :) We thank you all so very much, for all that you do for us. :) you all are very nice, and sweet. :) We deeply appreciate everything, with all of our hearts. :) BIG GROUP HUG :) There's many more great things to look forward too. :) tonight, i'm going to have some pineapple for snack, and going to enjoy a dvd night. :) my family and i hope everyone is enjoying a wonderfully safe, fun, and happy weekend. :)

NEW PICTURES :) Hi angel friends. :) i'm using my old digital camera, and gonna give my newer camera, a nice cleaning, and hoping it will work. :) the lens/zoom seems to be jammed, and is giving me a system error. i'm hopeful it will work again, but if it doesn't, i will browse on ebay, to buy a new super zoom digital camera, they've had some on there, for about $60. :) i am thankful to have my old digital camera working, but i really do miss my super zoom. i'm a bit off-balance with my photography right now, but will get camera situation settled soon :) i'm gonna try to fix my camera, but just incase, will be able to get another super zoom on ebay. :) i took some new pictures today, of our gardening day. :)
UPDATE!!! :) WOW!:) just cleaned the lens, and the super zoom! it worked! oh my! i am super overjoyed with happiness and thankfulness! i think some dust, was jamming into the super zoom area, it's so delicate. it just turned on! my super zoom camera!!! :) i am so thankful. :) i am hoping it will continue to be ok. :) god bless! :)

Hello Chris I am just amazed by your gardening plans-plantings! Enjoy reading about what all your and your Dad are shopping for and plans for plantings. I hope the tomato plant that does not look so good,makes it. I too like to nurture plants like that back to health. I have a pink flower pot on my front porch that was discounted because it was not healthy. Now the plant is thriving! My celery did not make it though,so I will plant another again and see what happens. Glad your cleaning of the super zoom on your camera worked! Yah! No triple crown winner this year. But glad you and your family had fun watching the preakness!

It\'s so much fun to just poke around all the different gardening areas in all of the stores... Truly that time of the year for everybody... It is so satisfying to grow your own food!! those are some great prices for tomato seedlings as well especially if you don\'t need dozens of plants...
I planted all day!!! Transplanted all tomato seedlings so that they have room to groove and checked on all plantings and trees. I also watered the garden before breakfast as I was up early. Today was nicer but still cloudy with mixed in sunny times... Nice temp for the tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse! Nice and HOT (but not killer)... Very tired after a long day of working in the gardens but it\'s a good tired!!!

Excellent gardening day Chris!! What a great buy on the tomato plants that was really a cheap price! We grew some a couple years ago but they didn\'t do well (or maybe it was the Gardner lol) think maybe we will have to give it another shot. I am so glad you were able to get your camera fixed.
