The Road Most Travelled
This is the last day of my two week business trip in Texas. The friend that was expected to join me never made it. The drive out was two days alone with my thoughts and music. Everyday I navigated strange and unfamiliar surroundings. What first appeared as a nightmare hotel turned out to be an oasis away from the convention center. I've lost count of the number of people astonished that I'm doing all of this ALONE. I still have to work all day today, tear down my booth, load the van and start the two day drive home tonight, alone. I'm doing this alone because I am alone. This trip has put a glaring spot light on my situation and you know what? I'm okay with it.
Even if I hadn't written a single order or made lasting friendships with other vendors, the fact that I could make a statement like I'm alone and it's okay, makes this trip a huge success. I'm ready to go home but it's with a renewed sense of purpose.

You have reached a new perspective on life and it\'s a huge step. You have found new abilities in yourself and have much to be proud of. Congratulations. Sharon
Thanks for the inspiration!! Art did all the driving and I had to learn it all over again after he died. I was thankful to have my friend do the drive from B.C. to Arizona with me. It felt good to get behind the wheel and feel free as a bird. Art would have been very proud of me. Yes, this being ALONE is hard. I sell magnetic jewelry at the Farmer\'s Market here. Art and I did it together for many years. The first one when I had to set up all by myself, I got mad at him for leaving me all alone. My fellow vendors did help set up my canopy and I was thankful for that. Yes, you had a huge success with that road trip. Congrats!!!!!
