The Right Place

Not bragging or strutting my feathers or anything like that... I just want to share some news about myself and my program of recovery. I have now had my own website for closing in on seven years... I've kept it active and up to date. Three years ago I started a bog and have fumbled around with it until recently I made a conscious effort to make it a more active site as well. Throughout my time on the web, every day folk will stop by, drop me a line about how I may have helped them with a poem or story. Last year though was the first time, that sites wanted to start advertising on my site. Not a link exchange, but to actually pay me to let them have an ad on my site. And then a couple of weeks ago, "The Right Place Residential Detox" in Fort Myers, Florida sent me an e-mail asking about sponsors for my blog. This got my attention. If any of you watch the TV show "Intervention" then you probably have seen this facility... it is one of the places that the show uses. Now how awesome is that? I will NEVER be a know-it-all in any Fellowship that I attend... I just enjoy sharing my ESH and truly love watching others grow. Well, I guess other people are starting to realize that I may be growing as well. It does make me get down on my knees and thank my HP for a second chance at life. When I quit drinking in 1994, not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine being where I am today... which makes me wonder where my wildest dreams will take me next. Today, this dream with this sponsor became a reality. Payment was received just to let them have an ad on my blog... no editorial direction from them... nothing... I am still me... wow... It actually has me shocked... it isn't a long term deal... 60 days... and then we will see what happens. What would I like to see happen? To have enough paid ads and/or sponsors to pay for my costs on the web... not to make a load of money... just to have my sites paid for... that would be so sweet... Anyway, if you'd like to see the ad and check out my sponsor... here is the link http://daveharm.blogspot.com/
