The Return of The Holy Shit
The last two mornings have been blessed with Holy Shit and the resulting evacuation of the worst of my gut knots. Oh what a relief it is! ! ! My colon is damaged enough that I havenae known many, if any, days of my life without gut pain, but the degrees of pain are quite remarkable, taking great care with the company you are in before speaking the remarks aloud, of course.
As the new household dynamics settle in around the three newly placed foster children (GKs), the plans for the farm housing upgrade are picking up steam. We hope. For now, we are still waiting on permits and I suspect not even God will try to predict what a bureaucracy will decide. Prayers in progress.
The housing upgrade is sorely needed. This neglected old place is so filled with aches and pains that the bandages of each fix are so layered there isn't really such a thing as an effective fix any more. 100 years of accumulated neglect has a profound effect on any building. This modest little building was cobbled together from fragments of hopes and dreams over an unknown quantity of tenants. Fixing one pipe in the plumbing will increase the water pressure enough to break another weak spot somewhere else. Patch a crack in the plaster and the foundation will shift to create a new crack next to the strong spot. I strongly suspect the coughs still running through the house can be traced to mold growing in the crawl space of the pier and beam foundation. By human measure, it isn't much of a crawl space. Even an under-sized queen of creepy spaces like myself doesnae have room to manuever under this house, but mold doesnae much manuevering room. My anemic knowledge of what's under this house haunts my every step across the uneven, mushy floors, especially when I am stepping on hands and knees with a crawling, coughing baby. The coughs seem to be letting up with the honey and cough syrup, but not enough for my Gamsense. At best, the housing upgrade willnae be ready for move in until mid-October. More prayers in progress.

Yay for the return, i do hope that it helps you feel better for bit. Triple hugs and prayers and support as the newly unity continues
I have gastronomical distress at times. In the midwest there is a fast food chain called White Castles. After I have 8 sliders, a large onion ring and two chicken sliders. Look out. It takes a few hours to gestate....but then I have to stay in my computer room alone.
Hope you feel better.
Hugs Arfie.
I’m glad you found that relief. Apparently that issue has been contagious as I too had been in that situation for the whole weekend until this morning. Lovely second hearts that make praying to porcelain gods a necessity some days. Unfortunately mine was due to accidental exposure to known allergies at a restaurant on Friday even after the waitress had been fully informed of my food restrictions (who the hell puts cumin in tortilla chips?).
Plumbing issues also seem contagious here too but that’s what comes with living in an old Victorian 4 square. Thankfully my dad is a plumber and always available for a quick phone lesson away on combating the unending clogs and slow drains of 100+ pipes. Good luck my friend with your own pipes. That is one project I do not envy you for.
Hugs and love Arfie. Saying a few extra prayer for you.
Ah, the problems with an old house. It's like old cars; replace one part and another goes out. Some Vicks vapor rub on the bottom of the wee ones feet may help. Or perhaps a visit to a pediatrician? Glad the new family unit has sorted itself out. Supportive hugs.
