The reason why I feel sad
Well. Where to begin. I dated this girl for about 7 months. She went to my high school, but I was a senior, and therefore went to college. I now live about ten hours away. Things were okay with the long distance issue at first, but eventually lead to a bit of arguing. But the entire time I still felt in love with her. I felt like she was the one thing I had to look forward to, when I would come home and see her. I would pay for bus tickets home (10 hours and a 40 dollar bus ticket just to see her, and thats one-way). Every time I would come home I would bring her a gift. Every night I would send her a nice message while shes sleeping telling her how much I love her. And I didn't really expect much in return. All I expected was for her to treat me right, to try to avoid being with other guys a lot (unfortunately its hard to keep track of your partner via long distance), and for her to do a nice little thing every now and then. My idea of a nice thing was for her to send me a nice text to wake up to in the morning, send me a picture of her smiling before she goes to bed, something like that. I didn't expect her to buy me anything. And at first, things were going great. I would help her feel better when she was sad, and she would do the same. She would send me pictures of her every night and I was so happy knowing that she was happy. And then like I said before, things got worse. She started skyping with me less, wouldnt send me pictures at night, would go hours without answering my texts for no reason. She even went behind my back and went out to coffee with another guy, telling her little brother not to tell me. Thankfully he did, but things werent the same. We got in our first big fight, because honesty meant a lot, and she wasnt being honest. Time went by and things remained as they were, she was putting in much less effort. I was putting the same amount of effort in, always sending her gifts when shes sad, etc. And then winter break came, it was supposed to be finally when me and her could spend some time together after being seperated for so long. One of the very first days home, we had planned to hang out, and she ditched me for another friend. Also she had asked her mom for money to buy all of her other friends gifts, but seemed to forget about me. Christmas eve comes, and we had been arguing a lot about things. I was at work, and I worked with her friend. I asked her friend about how things were, and she mentioned that my girlfriend hadn't been answering her phone. I had thought that this friend had been bringing my girlfriend to school everyday, but then according to her, she wasn't. So i texted my girlfriend and asked who she had been getting rides with. She said one of her guy friends who happened to like her in the past, and therefore made me nervous. I was very upset that she had been doing this behind my back. So then in my anger, I went out to my car over my break at work, and called her. She was acting like it wasnt a big deal, which was making me more angry, so then I broke up with her. Over something pretty stupid I'll admit. We had broken up several times in the past (maybe 3 I think), and almost immediately got back together. I had gotten so used to that that when I broke up with her, I just assumed we'd get back together. But then she ignored me for the rest of the night, and then the next morning on Facebook it said she was single... Every time we had broken up in the past she hadn't changed it. So I texted her the next day, and I found out that she was very upset. She was just sick of always arguing. I soon realized I wouldn't be able to fix things. She treated me like crap for about a month or so. Rarely answering my texts, and if she did it was always something negative. All the stress started to drive me crazy, and made me feel depressed. I stopped eating for several days at a time, and pretty much just went to work, then to bed. Towards the end of winter break, she agreed to see me. We just talked in my car for a little. And then a few days later I took her to Subway, and then back. Eventually we started hanging out like friends would. She would come over my house and we would watch a movie or play a game and we would snuggle together. Things were seeming to get better and she seemed more comfortable around me, but still wouldn't kiss me. Finally, the dreaded last day came. Things had gotten better, but she still didn't want to date again. I was extremely sad leaving, and I felt like things were officially over. She promised me that we would text every day, and that we would be best friends. It really cheered me up and helped me deal with going back to college. She said we would Skype and things would be like they used to for the most part. I was very excited, and was trying to be positive, knowing that if things went well, we could possibly date again. Her birthday was coming up, and I already had gotten her a sweatshirt before winter break, assuming that we wouldn't have broken up. I was so excited that first night back thinking that if i did well things would get better, that I bought her a video game that she liked as well as a controller and a memory card. The first few days things went well. We talked a lot via text, but not on Skype. As time went on she started texting me back less. We finally Skyped, but only for a very short time, but still it was nice. I got to see her beautiful face and actually talking to her made me feel so much better. But then the next day, she texted me after she got out of school, but for only about 15 minutes, before saying she had to go. She then didnt text me until about 9 or so at night. I was worried the whole day that something was wrong, but I figured it was just me being worried. Turns out she was hanging out with another guy. This guy liked her. I immediately felt awful again. I had been just getting out of my depression, and then I found out that she was hanging out with another guy, and all of the sudden it came back. I suddenly felt like doing nothing. I havent eaten at all since I found out about them hanging out. I asked her if she liked him, and she said "I dont know". Even that still scared me, I had the feeling that she was falling for him. Next day, I Skype with her for a little, only to find out that she is about to go get dinner and go to the basketball game with him. She texted me that night after she brought him home. I asked her that night if she liked him, and this time she said yeah. I spent the entire night crying. I couldn't believe I had only been gone two weeks before she started liking someone else. I felt so down, because she had promised me that there was still hope for us. And I had been so good to her. I had even bought her some valentines day candy without her knowing. But I felt absolutely awful. And then the next day (today) she texted me around noon and we talked for about an hour, before she began ignoring me for the rest of the day. She finally texted me back around ten. She said that we can't talk anymore, and that I won't be able to move on until we stop talking. This made me feel even worse. I felt like she had been using me. I had bought her those gifts and been so nice to her, and she seemed like she was using me. And now that another guy liked her, she was done with me. Two days after he walked in to her life, she already has fallen for him so much that she doesn't even care about me anymore. So here I am today, writing this. Things just seem to be getting worse. And I'm also supposed to come home from college next weekend for a 5 day weekend. I was originally really excited to see her, but after all this, I don't even know if she will see me... :/ I also feel like this guy that she now likes is just going to hurt her. He is friends with so many girls, and seems to have a new thing with a different girl like every week. But apparently he actually likes her... I feel like whats going to happen is she is going to get lead on, but then he is going to start having feelings for some other girl, and the girl I like (my EX) is going to be heart broken. I don't want to tell her that or she will just be mad, and it might not come true. But yeah... this is my current situation. I already feel better after writing this, but still the sadness is killing me. I pretty much haven't left my bed all day. I don't really expect anyone to read this entire thing, unless they really have that much time. It was more for myself to put it all out there, and for me to realize like what has been going on this whole time. If you have any advice or feedback let me know...

First off I like to mention that I read the whole thing. It really gave me more of an insight into what\'s happen to you over the last month. From my point of view I can understand why you felt lead on by your Ex for all that time. I just kinda get the feeling that when she started to stop communicating with you as much that she was starting to be finished with the relationship. To be honest that wasn\'t very fair of her to do and she defiantly should have been honest with you. I also experienced a relationship like this last year with my first boyfriend.
First relationships can be really hard specially when you love someone that first time and letting it go can be really difficult. I\'ve found through my experiences that its all about the process of growing up and at times it really sucks. Just remember that no matter what you can always get through things when you have others there to support you. You might be going through a new phase in your life but I know you can do it :) .
