The realization that I'm really scared of my own thoughts
Is it just me, or am I invisible? All I wanted was for one person to ask a simple question. The question could be asked by a total stranger, or a close friend, or a family member. But the question never came. Nobody ever took the time away from their happy life to ask me. I feel as if this happens quite often. People get so caught up in being greedy with their own happiness that they are completely and utterly blind to the happiness of others unless other people have more happiness than them. Human instinct I figure is to strive to be the best and to envy those who are better than ourselves. So, I don’t blame the people who didn’t ask. How can I? I mean it is just their natural instinct. When do we realize that we aren’t the most important thing in the world? I don’t think that moment ever really comes. Yes, when s tragedies occur we all have a new outlook on life. For a little while, people appreciate life but in a week or a year or after ten years, people just take life for granted again. There are no lasting impressions when it comes to human emotions. Everyone has their own agenda and no matter how much you wish they would notice you sitting on a corner, crying, they never will. All I wanted was that one question asked and for someone to listen to the answer. In reality, that question is only asked for show. If someone asks it’s because they were taught to, but the answer to the question doesn’t matter because whoever took the time will not care what you reply with. The person who asked believes they saved you just by asking, and why would they waste their time with your reply? Everyone is too busy to care about others unless there is some sort of gain on their part. I just need someone to have the courage to ask if I’m okay.
