The rain is back!
After less than a week of snow (our first "true" snowfall - that stayed and had to be shoveled or snow blown) the rain is back! What is frustrating is we had a new roof put on (even though our other one was only 5 years old) because of hail damage that our insurance paid for. Unfortunately, this is our second leaking and this one is a big. All inside the front wall of our foyer. The foyer is vaulted so I really couldn't see if the shadow way up on the wall was a cobweb or a "bubble". I hit it with a broom and water poured out of it. That explains why I was having a hard time opening our front door - it was frozen with ice inside the wall. Right now I hear dripping. Afraid to look. The company that did the work is a nation wide group that settles in an area for a certain amount of time (when a "disaster" hits a community) and then moves on. I recall the guy saying they'll be here for 2 years. Great. Our roof is 1 1/2 years old so if this is happening now ~ what will we do when it happens again? I made a foolish decision allowing myself to be pressured into letting them do it instead of a local company ~ like the one that did our last roof.
J had his other tonsil out yesterday. It went well. Husband and I tagged teamed - he taking him to the hospital, me being there to see J in recovery, and then hubby picked him up and brought him home. J didn't sleep very well last night. He says he wants to go back to work on Thursday. Yes ~ he got another restaurant job - working in the kitchen for 9 bucks an hour. I think he should take it easy ~ especially since his knee is getting a work out because he has to run stairs at this job. Can't convince him. He's stubborn. And talk about not taking it easy ~ yesterday I came home from work and found him making onion soup. Hubby took him to the grocery directly from the hospital because he craved his favorite soup recipe. It was very good! That stinker!

I\'m so sorry about your roof. Sounds like you have a lawsuit on your hands if you can find the company. Maybe the insurance company would have some advice. I bet other clients are also having problems. We had a major hailstorm here a few years ago and we had our roof replaced with a local company. Then we had another storm last year. We were the only house on our block that did not need a new roof. We had a whole lot of transient roofing companies coming through. I wonder if your company is working on any of the houses in our neighborhood.
Ahhhh..the life of a mom with boys...Did you ever wonder why the mom was deceased in the sitcom\"MY Three Sons\"...what a hoot !! Won\'t your property/home insurance cover your roof damage? Just hang in there momma...Woosa !! i got that from one of the movies my sons made me watch...The cops were all stressed out and went to this shrink...she told them to say that and breathe when they would come undone...I stoled it ...yessss!! My oldest son would love the snow right now...He lives in Winter Park Colorado and they have no snow right now...nada !! It is scarey...He works and lives at this Bed and Breakfast/Hostel and he is afraid the owners are going to lay him off....Ahhhh, worry, worry, worry.

I know what you mean about being a little bit sick--and I believe in that too--your body is fighting something that could be worse if you were not taking care of yourself. A couple weeks ago, I had the flu, and it lasted one night.
I know where your snow went! We have your snow! We\'ve had snow off and on since Sun but today 6\" is here and more expected. It cripples the city because our snow removal equipment is so limited. They never know how many vehicles to have on hand because some years it doesn\'t snow at all.
Anyway, you certainly don\'t seem ruffled about your water damage. i do hope somebody takes care of it before you get mold, which is quite a big deal. Either you are practicing super-serenity, or you have a good insurance agent on the case!!
your son J is amazing. He must have had local anesthesia. At any rate, it\'s good he\'s up and around, and wanting to go back to work.
I\'m staying in today, except maybe for a walk in the snow (boots are too tight, so reluctant), but husb. always goes out in weather like this just to check it out, so he\'s at the office, (I hope).
