The physical aspects of running.
I started running about 6 months ago and I went from taking 20 miligrams of vasotec twice a day, to eliminating it completely! My blood pressure is normal except when my wife gets on my back, then I have to take my blood pressure pill again.
My resting heart rate use to be in the 70's and 80's but this morning it was 55! I woyld like to get it down to 48 which is what it use to be. I think it is possible.
My heart has responded to the exercise quite well and it makes me very happy. My energy level has risen also! But on the other hand, I know if I stop running, I will lose it all!
I wish everybody could feel the way I feel!

Awesome!!!!!
like your other journal entry said, 2 miles is a wonderful distance that\'s manageable to keep up and reap the great health benefits. I\'m so glad it\'s done so well for your heart :)
oops, pressed the button too soon. I was going to add: it inspires me to keep going even when I feel tired or lazy.
