The past few days
As the title suggests this post is on important things in the past few days, most importantly and mainly on Durham, where I went to the university open day. It was incredible, we had a party on the night before the open day which was amazing, even though I'm probably one of a very small group who actually remember it all. People were so hung over the morning after, they guy who I was sat next to on the first talk, a really tall guy who was in the same college as me called Seb wasn't doing so well at the start. It was amazing, there was dancing and jumping, cocktails and strawpedo boat races (don't ask). It was so great to be able to talk to people and have fun and not have to care about the consequences. Everyone just seemed so genuine, it was refreshing in comparison to some of the company I've kept here. I've got a white t-shirt from it, we were all given one and some felt tips, with all of these little things written on it like obscure references to things that people said or did, with so many stories behind them. Mine has 'cheap slut' written on it (the story isn't what you think) and 'I practise safe nudity' (no story there). Another one has something about me being a Greek hero (Hector brings things to mind about someone nothing like me) and Achilles being my bitch (that one is a little obvious). After the college bar we moved on to a club until we were eventually made to leave because the club was closing for the morning, so we walked through the streets singing the St. Cuthbert's society chant which is to the tune of lord of the dance and just a little bit rude. The girls there were cute too, but more on that later, or maybe never. The college that I went to was Cuths or St. Cuthbert's society, if you could've guessed, and it is an awesome place. It's made choosing a university an incredibly hard decision, now I really can't choose, UCL or Durham? The sure thing is now I really feel like I have grown up and I can actually be kind of cool when people first meet me. I finally feel like I've reached 18 and it is legendary
Unfortunately on a more serious note I'm coming under fire a little from the photography team. There was a shot which I proposed would be quite good which the school wants for a publication but I wasn't able to take it because where I needed to be for it was in the middle of where the parents were sitting, on a side note I saw the Smiths there and had a conversation with them, it was one of the highlights of the day, but I wasn't feeling nearly confident enough to stand my ground and stick it out there because it was back when I was seriously questioning myself as a person so I had zero self confidence. Also incidentally that was also the day the I got the text that made me know that things weren't going to get better and allowed me to turn things around in my head. Anyway because I couldn't get the shot I'm coming under fire from Mr. Ambrose and that's something I'd rather not have happening as it's tying my stomach in knots just a little bit. I guess it's time to face the music (sorry for the pun, I couldn't help myself).
I'm going to have to sort this out know so I'll see you on the other side
