The Panama Papers could be reopened and the Ultra rich can contribute to society. They wanna leave? Oh well at least they would have to pay their taxes at least once or even back taxes. We need to pay the national debt they owe that to us, at least. I dont care if they create jobs.... They are not doing as much as they could

Sadly, the rich and powerful manage to weasel out of payment of most taxes.

Hi, good to hear from you again.
My opinion is the federal deficit is from the politicians on both sides funding things way beyond the money being brought in. The federal deficit drives inflation because the government has to borrow money to pay its bills. No one cares though. I watched the state of the union speech and was appalled at one side who were there to disrupt and be ugly. We also have to stop the fraud that is rampant in some states and some programs.
I live in a city that has a very fancy city hall and now the politicians want to tear it down and spend more money and build something else. They have not fixed all the things on time that happen with any house or building. The whole thing is a boondoggle and reek of graft and corruption.
I get my news from a more independent source and like mrlo853 wrote, I have to use my skeptical mind, not to take what I see on any media as gospel truth.
Apparently there was a deal with two middle east countries and money was brought in. Not sure how much exactly that is going to help. Also Bernie Sanders has stated that we should give a 5% tax to the rich but I havent heard much since then. Its been two months......
