The Owls know
After my son fell asleep this evening, I took a walk into our moonlit yard, adjacent to miles of open field and woods. The silence tonight was so complete and uninterrupted. No vehicles, even in the distant reaches of our little town. I stepped onto our deck, looking over the dream that was ours in the moonlight. I gazed back through the patio doors into our living room, to her chair, which was not rocking this evening as it had so many nights as I would tap on the glass and smile, waiting for her to lean forward, and wave back to me. How did this come to pass? In the distance, there was a sound now. An owl was trying to answer this question with one of his or her own. I knew the answer to this question, but even his friend in the distance could not help him find the answer to mine. Listening to them, I began to feel that they may have been there on this silent and cold moonlit night, just to say we understand what your pain is all about. They seemed to call to each other, but yet, were so separated by space and time. I love you my dear, and all I can do is fall into that space between us, on this, so silent of a night, along with my two friends.

Lovely post!!
Robert, just read your journal and it is absolutely beautiful - I will tell you why it impressed me so much on this particular day - you just poured your heart out and I could almost see and feel what you were going through (and I am sure the owls did too - I am certain that Sharry heard you so that had to make her very happy. You are a really nice man and I pray your pain will soon lessen. I will write y ou - Agnes
Robert,
It sounds like it was a beautiful time there on the deck because Sharry was there with you I\'m sure.
