The one where I unintentionally force myself to come out.

So I have a friend Rae, she's cool. If i had to come out to anyone, I would probably have to come out to her first.  Except I didn't want to come out.  At all.  
*Some dialogue may be edited because I have poor memory and a somewhat dull life.  But everything that happened is true.  XD
     Thursday after school i was walking to my bus and I pass her by the staircase.
"Hi Austin"
"Hey Rae"
"I wanted to ask you something...oh yeah!  Who are you asking to homecoming?(were completely platonic so she wasn't asking me to ask her I think) "
"huh.  I dunno."
"Who do you like?"
"Oh...I wanna get a good seat on the bus."
*Steals class ring from finger*
"tell me or you dont get this back and you miss your bus."
"I'm very shy"
"TELL ME"
"I'll...tell you tomorrow?"
"OMG i am so hype you better tell me tomorrow morning or ill be crushed."
5 min later via text:
"So who do you like?"
So the next morning I go to school, the bus ride there thinking of ways to get out of the situation.  Just not telling her wasn't an option, because i'm a bad liar and she'd force it out.  Also I would make her mad, and that would suck. 
In the morning all the students gather in the commons for an hour where we get a chance to catch up on work or just socialize with friends.  I go to meet her at the table where her, and at least 12 other people are.  I'm thinking "no way in hell can I come out to all these people in one sitting."  Also, Rae has told everyone else that I am revealing my mysterious crush today. When she asks the feared question, I start deflecting.  Talking about History class, last night's Apprentice, anything to distract them.  And then I confess my attraction to the Latin teacher  Mrs P., which amuses them, and to some extent, disturbs them.
Rae is understandably angry at me, so once everyone's attention is off me, I scrawl a note: "I'm gay.  Sorry I lied to you.  Please don't tell anyone.  Sorry."
As were walking to our classes, I give her the note, make her promise not to read it until I leave, and then go to class, feeling sick.
About 120 seconds later I get a text:
"Awhh thats so cute, but that doesn't answer the question.  WHO DO YOU LIKE?"
I feel grateful to have someone that cares so much. :D
And that's it.  For those who read all the way through thanks for reading my long and wandering not.  And for those who didn't read all the way through you wont see this anyway so i'm going say your a jarring half-faced bum-bailey.  Whatever that means.
