The Ocean
We are in a cottage by the ocean, just outside of Tofino, on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I am listening to the surf and missing Lisa like crazy. I just want to talk to her and give her a hug. We would be together now if she had not left us.
I do believe that she visited us on our walk today. We were heading back to the car from one of the beaches and I heard a racket in the bush. I asked Joe what it was and he said "I guess it is a bird". It was a very noisy one, and it didn't stop squacking until we stopped and paid attention to it. Joe took some photos. Lisa has always been one to get your attention, no matter what! Today was no exception.
I find the ocean healing and I love that I can lay here and listen to it pound on the beach. We were on a secluded beach today - I was amazed and humbled by the fury of the waves. But it doesn't make the loss of Lisa any less painful.
So we are here until Boxing Day. It will be nice to see Cevyn when we get back home. She was sounding a bit down today too. I wonder if she was thinking about her mother as well. I just can't believe this is the 4th Christmas without her.
I can't believe that she is in a better place. She should be with her daughter and the family that loves her beyond belief. I guess it will all be made clear some day.
I just need to vent.
Lisa: I did smile when you got our attention today. You always were able to make people smile. I just wish it could be the Lisa that I can hug, talk with and laugh with.
I miss you always and love you forever, Mummy

I\'m with you dear Marlene, and oh, that Lisa, I\'m sure she was letting you know that she\'s alway close by.
Absorb it all as you are and I too feel so very healed by the ocean. I adore seeing what treasures are left behind when the waves recede after crashing upon the shoreline. Perhaps a treasure or two will grace your path as well.
Tight hugs and bunches of salty kisses and love.
XO Joanie
I do like the way Lisa makes herself known . LOUD ! you will not miss that.. I hope you have a peacfull time let the ocean heal your wounds..
Hugs Penny
That is so cute,,,Lisa makes sure your hear her by being loud...how cool is that!!! enjoy that ocean sound!!
A wonderful visit! I find the water edge calming and reflective. My son loved the water, his pontoon and fishing. He even made a CD of his favorite boat music. Make the holiday as Merry as can be. Hugs for you and Lisa, Peggy
Still, it\'s good to get away, see new sights, smell the ocean and hear it\'s emmense sound. Lisa should be with you and with her child and husband, you\'re so right and someday we will understand a little better I hope.
If Lisa is anything like you, Marlene, she is a precious, loving, giving girl and didn\'t deserve to be taken so early. love you, Abby
No matter where we go our grief comes with us and so do our children and their love. Have a wonderful Holiday Marlene.

Having spent a lot of time at the beautiful beaches in Fla, I know how beautiful it can be. There is something so relaxing, watching the waves and dolphins out in the surf. It sounds like your ocean views are beautiful too. Wishing you many visits with Jenn and lovely memories as you share your holiday with your hubby. XOXO Debbie
I hear ya Marlene...It is hard to wait for the day when we will wrap our eager arms around our children and hug, hug, hug away to our heart and soul\'s content. For now we wait...How wonderful that your sweetie has a sense of humor...I chuckled at \"the noisy bird.\" They find their own unique ways to \"speak\" to us! Maybe not what we so want to hear right now, but at least they are communicating!!! The beach sounded lovely--Your LIsa is closer to you than you realize...just like my children are to me...28 years today...Wowza...Love+ Hugs, Donna
Those hugs!!!!!! Oh how I miss them... I hope the ocean waves bring peace to your soul....
