The New Approach

Well, I pulled something in my lower back so I haven't been working out.  It did get me thinking of a new approach.  I cut my hair shoulder length, I'm seriously thinking about joining Jenny Craig, and  I'm going to cancel the gym membership and purchase a WII.  What I have been previously doing doesn't seem to work as I can't get a true grip on my portion control or what I put in my mouth.  I need help. I truly appreciate all the support here, but I know it's up to me to make the changes.  I keep fighting myself and I haven't been able to figure out why.  I ran into an old friend this week who I haven't seen in a couple years.  She must have put on 40 pounds if not more. Her attitude was laughing about her weight gain and she had given up exercise and diet and just wanted to be happy.  Believe me, I wanted to join her in her bliss.  But deep down, I know that's not me, I can't throw in the towel, yet I'm tired of fighting it.  It's been a long fight, some wins, some losses, but I do know what I currently am doing is not working and it isn't fun, which is why the new approach.

Great idea buying a WII. Let me know how it works out for you. I considered purchasing one for myself and if you have positive results that would simplify my decision. I am totally with you about the weight gain. I find that if I eat the tootsie roll lollipops they help. They\'re only 60 calories and last up to 20 minutes if you don\'t chew them.. Good Luck
