The Need to Feel Better
Sunday, October 26, 2008 - 9:35 A.M. I do not know what is going on with me, but I can do without it. Last night I was unable to get any sleep at all. I should have stayed up all night, watched TV, and let someone else use my bed. Of course, now that it is morning, I am quite sleepy. My world seems to be turned upside down. Most weeks, I am in a fairly good mood. It seems as though, for whatever reason, this has not been the case lately. There may be too many things bothering me, running around in my mind, and causing a lot of unnecessary stress. I have begun feeling bad about my whole life. Some of this can be attributed to the difficulties I am having with my family. In recent weeks, I have become very angry with my brother and sister. I cannot, however, blame them for everything I am feeling. No matter how I feel, I can usually find something -- a least one thing -- to feel somewhat good about. That has not been the case this week. I am not happy with my life, and do not know how to change it for the better. There are times when I feel so upset at everything that is happening in my life, that I barely have the energy to get through a single day. Sometimes I do not even want my life to go on, and I know deep inside me that I should be feeling much better than that. Despite all of the negativity I feel, the most positive thing I can count on is the support I receive from my friends here at Daily Strength. I know they have given me much more support than I have given in return recently. They are always in my thoughts and prayers, and I truly hope that one day I will once again regain the ability to try and repay them for the many kindnesses that they have shown to me. Hang in there Jim,I often feel bad about my life too, you sre not alone, hugs and hugs-Stephanie
I think it\'s okay to blame your family for all of it for now. Do whatever you can to get through it. They deserve some blame for awhile. You don\'t have to tell them you blame them. Projection is a wonderful coping mechanism!
I find that when I feel like this (exhausted, defeated, and like life is just too hard for me), its best to just wait it out. Getting mad sometimes helps but mostly, it\'s just letting all the feelings pass through me.
You support me just by being you. I come and read your journals and learn sooooo much. I\'ll bet many do.
It\'s Monday October 27 and I just got here......
What I hear and read most is - tired. If you haven\'t slept well, nothing feels right - or accurate.
Take that from a sleep dep PRO.
Hugs and Mojo to you Jmi...

Waiting is hard to do, but I agree that it is just best to wait things out. Given a reasonable length of time, things usually seem to turn around the right way.
