The Medium
It's an old girl friend's birthday and we decided to gather our friends and stay at some rinky dinky motel near the beach to bring in her 18th birthday. Drinks have been poured, shots have been taken, music is blaring, and I feel gooood. I'm dancing all over the place and I'm having a great time. Fast forward and I'm on the bed barely can lift my head, but I feel good. That's all that matters right? He whispers to be, but I can barely hear a thing. My leg is being rubbed and suddenly feel myself getting on my feet. The bathroom is the next destination. I feel myself dangling over the toilet seat, motionless. I mumbled some things, but had no energy to say stop. No sound left my mouth. I was nothing. Worst part of it all is that we were friends, and I had to see him every single day. Maybe if I wasn't shit faced drunk. Maybe I could've stopped it. He's a good kid. He didn't know, I didn't know, but it still hurts.
