the medicine is worse than the sickness!
I thought it was an antibiotic the Dr gave me. It is Donatal which is Bella Donna and a phenbarbitol drug. It is supposed to "relax" my intestines. There is a 2 1/2 page small print warning booklet. Sheesh! it says "may cause dizziness." It is making me really loopy and I can't take it. I could never get drunk or do drugs because I could never deal with the feeling that I was not in control of my body. This is why I suffer so bad with the panic attacks. And it almost feels like a panic attack. And now I am constipated on top of everything else. and starting to come down with a cold. (sneezing/sort throat/headache).
I tossed and turned all last night so I did not sleep great, although I was in bed almost 10 hrs. I have to call the Dr's office and get off this stuff. I feel fine until I eat. A few minutes after I eat is when my intestines get uncomfortable.
Thank God I have been able to work from home all week.
On a hopefully positive note, I am trying to help my mom find a puppy. Tibetan Terrier. 3 breeders responded and puppies are $2000! So I contacted a rescue yesterday.
Eating is obviously not great this week, low calories. NO exercise at all this week. Praying to be back to myself. I most likely won't go bowling tonight.

Yikes!! I\'m terrible for prescriptions - I just quit them and tell my doctor later. You are being responsible calling in to get off it. Hope they come up with a better solution for you. Tibetan Terrier - sounds cute - I\'ll have to Google that. We always watch \"Pick a Puppy\" - the kids and I - and I pick one and then come away from the show feeling like \"where\'s my puppy?!?!?\", like he should be in my house somewhere after all that emotionally draining puppy picking work!! lol

So sorry to hear how unwell you are Yvette. Hope you find a better solution that is kinder to your body. Get well soon....That sounds like I am ordering you to get better ...lol....well maybe I am.. praying that you will find the right meds, with no ill effects, and that you are soon back to good health.

It is the pits when you are allergic to something. I am so allergic to so many meds I am always afraid to take something new.
Hope the doctor can put you on something else that will help.
