the medal

Everybody gets presents at Christmas.
Everybody gets paid for a job well done.
Everybody gets wisdom as they age.
But does everyone get recognition for just surviving life when it's difficult?
My mother used to say when I did something right, what do you want from me a medal?
My answer today July 31, 2011 is yes please mom I would like a very big and shiny one

Good for you :) Fortunately, I have a lot of support getting through those difficult times, which make up my whole life. I wish you had more support. I will be praying for you sugar :)

Unless you\'re disabled You don\'t understand what it\'s like to be that way. I was unable to tie my own shoes until I was 13 years old.In part because I had a short leg brace from the age of 7 until i4, I needed help to put the brace on and I think in part because of coodination problems. My older sister saw me tie my shoes one day and said Hey I didn;t know you could do that I said I didn\'t either. It was a GOLD Medal day for me. Try not to dwell on the past the past is the past and you can\'t change ANY of it.Be the person you have become NOW. Not the person you WERE. Hugs-Stephanie

I\'m not sure if your Mom at this point could grant your Wish...but, I believe, that deep done in her heart that she is Very Proud of you as I am!!! Sometimes parents have a hard time giving out praise...for fear that you will give up trying to do better...My FRIEND, I am Very PROUD of YOU!! You have done an amazing job being out on your own!! I hope that this will be enough...I love your insights in your Journal entries...they have a lot of Truth, in what you have been dealing with all these years!!! I would be Proud to call you MY LIL SIS!!! XOXO LOVE YOU Val!!!
