The loud, angry, yelling wheel apparently gets the oil

I had an operative hysteroscopy on Oct 11th to remove three polyps that were making my life a living hell.  My former GYN dropped the ball and I was left scrambling to find a new, competent GYN asap.  Luckily my aunt got me in with a Dr. friend of hers, and all is well now.  My symptoms from the polyps are pretty much gone Yippee!
My former GYN had scheduled me for a sonohyteroscopy at the end of Oct.  I was planning on calling the day before to cancel the appointment.  The vindictive part of me wanted to make sure she couldn't schedule anyone else in my place and she would lose some $$$$$
Well, the other day her office called me to cancel.  Not knowing that I had the polyps already removed, her secretary called to tell me that my doctor said my pelvic pain couldn't be pelvic related and that I would have to see my GP.  Too bad, too sad for me.
What.  the.  fuck.
I flipped out.  I told her to give my doc the message: I had my non-gynecological problem taken care of by gynecological surgery.  And that according to her own office notes this should have been addressed a year and a half ago.
I was pissed.  I was fuming.  I put the Hulk to shame.
My ex-GYN called me within the hour.  This was the same GYN that didn't even call me back the other week when I left the message with her nurse that I collapsed twice since seeing her.  She told me the nurse misplaced the message and she only just got it...
Well, after looking through my records she did something that absolutely shocked me.
She apologized.
She actually admitted that she was wrong and she apologized for making a mistake and trivializing my symptoms. It doesn't give me back the time I lost dealing with this mess, or erase the pain I went through, but I appreciated her apology.  I accepted and we talked about things.  I think she will learn from this and hopefully be a better doctor to her other patients.
Obviously I can't continue to go to her though. So now I am on the hunt for a good one, and it's a little depressing.  The pickings are slim.
If I'd know yelling would've gotten me proper treatment I would've raged sooner lol  Oh well.
Lesson learned: Do not fight the Bitchiness.  Embrace it. It is a powerful tool.
